"and may never will" seems like odd phrasing to me. Half the time I say it in my head it sounds wrong and the other half it sounds fine. Peyote and Dtoid are turning out to be a bad mix.

I hate to have to go there, but after Fallout 3 for PS3, most people would have no one to blame but themselves forgetting Skyrim on PS3. I'm mystified as to why Bethesda can't code for PS3, but I also recall the original Xbox not being a real priority for Bethesda when various issues plagued Morrowind.
So let's say Bethesda straightens out for PS4 and the next Xbox, would I trust a Bethesda game on Wii U?

lol xbox fanboys. gotta love em. im quite happy with my ps3 & pc. i have a 360 as well but to be honest i dont find much use for it. i might play it for halo 4 but then again thats a huge might as im really not all that into halo but that E3 demo made it look quite good. also i dont like having to pay $60 to play online, use netflix or hulu, all of which i can use for free on both my ps3 and pc. no but on topic, i feel for the ps3 owners. thats complete bs with the skyrim thing. they need to start putting effort into the ps3 version instead of only focusing on the xbox version which they clearly do.

Why do people get mad at the idea of something being multiplatform? Is there something wrong with the idea of having more people be able to play something? Does owning an Xbox exclusive piece of content somehow make you a better person? Brand loyalty is a stupid thing; especially in this case.
People should enjoy content simple for how good/fun it is. Not because of what platform its on.

The PS3 is not only a pain in the ass to use, given it's TERRIBLE update infrastructure and mandatory installs and plenty of other things that accent Sony's lack of experience with computer hardware, but also a bitch to develop. Frankly, I own both systems, and the PS3 is not worth turning on for anything that isn't console exclusive or a Blur-ray movie.

The Silent Protagonist is right. This is nothing new. I have a 360, Ps3, Pc, etc. Not a huge fan of the elder scrolls, and I even knew not to get it on the PS3. If you have multiple consoles, you have no one to blame but yourself. If you only have a PS3, then you need to get a different console to play Skyrim. It sucks, but it's true.
I find it funny that xbox users believe the ps3 bugs wont ever happen to them. Its just a matter of time, ps3 shows symptoms early simply because of its non-unified memory. Given enough playtime, the game will become unplayable on 360 too.
The simple truth is that the gamebryo engine was never meant for consoles or low ram system for that matter. Its a PC engine straight and true.
They should've taken the time to code a brand new engine instead of just retooling gamebryo and slap a new name on it.

@Football religion it has something to do with the fact that they, I don't know, paid for their copy of Skyrim like everyone else. I love how some of the comments in here are like an addition to Jims article.
The DLC is absolutely dreadful anyway, so PS3 owners aren't really missing out on much. Use that $10 towards PS+ or some PS1/2 classics.

What's even worse, is that you could just get it on PC, and even if your comp can't handle it, shove 150 bucks for a good GPU. That'd be cheaper than buying an Xbox. You got Mods and better performance.

as a PS3 and Skyrim player.. i'll gladly wait till winter to get the DLC hopefully w/o any bugs.

I'm getting nauseated by the console fanboyism seen in those quotes. I want to punch each and everyone of them.
I like the way these people think. I miss the days when console exclusivity meant something and there were actual tangible benefits for preferring one console over the other aside from bragging rights when a windfall comes your way.
