PS3 Tales of Vesperia trailer shows off new character photo

Undecided on whether or not to buy Tales of Vesperia for the PS3 (or perhaps buy it twice, if you already own the 360 version)? Perhaps the video after the jump will do something to whet your appetite. It's a brand new trailer for the PS3 version of the game, and it shows off one of the new PS3 only characters, pirate Patty Fleur, in battle. You will also recognize some new cutscenes if you've seen the old 360 trailers.

The PS3 version of the game comes out on September 17th in Japan (check out the official site), but so far has not been announced for the US. It's pretty much a no-brainer Namco-Bandai will bring it over though, so it's just a matter of when. I recently started playing the 360 version but am considering stopping until the PS3 one is released because of all the extra content. On the other hand, we could be waiting a while, so I'm feeling kind of torn about the whole thing.

I'm actually playing through it right now and really enjoying it. I don't know how they're going to fit the extra character into the story, since it seems pretty much well rounded already. Seems like they're going for the Palom/Porom thing with Karol and this new chick.

@dip: I know what you;re thinking, but its not Chet level biceps, her outfit has poofy things on the shoulders and arms.

It looks nice. But I still doubt we'll be seeing it over here. They always seem pretty picky about what tales games will come over to the states...

I'm holding out on buying this on 360 so I can get the PS3 version. It had better come out.

I've been pissed from the start about this. I loved Vesperia, so it's only natural to be in spite due to the fact that I dont have a PS3.

If I'm lucky, they'll do what they did with Soul Caliber IV and pull over the content to the 360 via DLC.

Eternal Sonata (PS3) came pretty fast to the US after the Japanese release, so I suspect the same with this game. I will pick up the Japanese version in September though.

I just hope they pick some decent voice actors. They've done ok in the past with Tales of Legendia having the best VA's.
I suppose it would be too much to ask them to have the Japanese language track with english subtitles.
