PS3 Tales of Vesperia gets bikini action photo

Silly system war kiddies, here's more fuel for your fire: The upcoming PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia has plenty of added content over the Xbox 360 version, but a recent addition to this list takes the PS3 version over the top. Start using words like "superior" now. You're in the clear.

That's right: the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia now has swimwear, as seen in this magazine scan. You can brag about how all of that raw number crunching power will go into rendering bare navels and breast shading while the Xbox 360 owners have to settle for covered midriffs. Ha!

Well, wait. Before you begin your forum post, know that the PS3 version has not been announced for North America yet.

What's great about this is that they're not wasting precious polygons on the outfits and can then make the rest of the game look even better than it was already going to look! (aka, literally 1000 times better than on the 360)

Flame on!

I got this for Father's Day for the 360. I've heard good things about it...since I just finished up Fallout 3 (until Mothership Zeta comes out), and Ghostbusters has been pissing me off, maybe I'll give it a spin.

That said, hooray for swimsuits as exclusives...?

You know it really boggles the mind at how much of this stuff was probably just sitting around waiting to be squeezed in on that tiny ancient disc that the Xbox still uses.

Also it's great that the devs don't throw away their creative ideas just because of that reason. It's also great that PS3 gives them so much room to play with.

The 360 version already basically had this with the Spa outfits. I'm not entirely sure why they're adding ANOTHER set of them, but whatever. I already own a 360 version of the game, outfits aren't going to make me buy it again.

Yeah I agree the game's graphics look much more refined on the PS3 version, it is as if this was being made the whole time while the 360 version was some beta.

Anyway, I fucking love this game, can't wait for the demo and pray to god the PS3 version comes over here because it would be a day one purchase(I also hope Laura Bailey would be cast as Patty).

Rita looks cute in that Bikini. And Judith's looks kind of plain...

I don't understand how they could possibly have left out so much stuff from the 360 version.

@Chronic Logic

CLEARLY they couldn't store it all on the disc, and should have gone BLOOWAY.
Or, more realistically, it is my disc RIGHT NOW and after the PS3 release we'll be able to "unlock" it for a hefty amount of Microsoft Marble Moneys.

Chronic Logic: This is Nacmo/Bandai we are talking. This is probably just "DLC" they planned for the 360 version.

Wow. Someone actually bought into my fanboy bait.

It IS amazing how it's always the same damn people on every PS3 article spouting utter nonsense.

I also find it hilarious that a little bit of extra content coming to a later port (a trend which has been happening since, oh, the beginning of time) actually makes some people think that something so minuscule was actually left OUT of the 360 version due to space constraints.

You are ridiculous, fanboys. Keep up the good work.

PS: I just searched for a rom of this game and it's around 7gb, which means a 9gb 360 DVD would have no problem holding this.

Good thing they took out those 2gb of bikini costumes.

Well, I know which version I'm going to pick up. Right after I get a PS3 that is. . .

@Midgetsnowman,

Sadly, the two people I was talking about almost undoubtedly were not.

Contemplate away...

It could turn out like that updated PS2 version of Tales of Symphonia which never left Japan, but I hope this comes to the UK. I wouldn't like to buy the "incomplete" version, when I know there's another one coming.

If it doesn't come over here though, at least I can buy the 360 one sooner!

And yet, I still don't have a PS3 to buy this for. :-\
