I wouldn't mind a price cut. But hopefully I have a PS3 well before the price cut occurs. If not, then it's welcomed.

So I need about $1200 of spending money.
I really hope (against hope) that Sony reintroduces the PS2 hardware BC. I'd pay 400 for a new one (smaller nm build than the old for less heat/power consumption). DO IT Sony...do it. Please?
If they were to try to stuff the power block inside it still yes. Remove that thing and no. It becomes about the size of the Wii (bit bigger).
Rumour has it (and take this with a grain of salt , hell a bucket of salt) that wifi will be terminate and a external power brick will be used ( like the 360 power brick ) so they have enough room for heatsinks ( because apparently they were paying attention to the RROD thing and said yeah we dont need that to happen do we), if the slim does exist ( No confirmation a the moment ) it will be a barebones PS3, just everything you need to get it to work and nothing more.
again I must state because its the internet that this is a R U M O U R and theres no confirmation of a ps3 slim even existing.
I think I'm gonna pay attention to this, see how things play out.
no a HDD is a ps3 requirement with the mandatory installs and everything , but its size is a different story.
Laptop HDD's are very tiny. Pop one out some time. Only slightly bigger than the iPod HDD's. About the same size of an ipod classic or zune (lil' bigger).
I believe if you take the power out, the PS3 can fit just fine in what that shows there. Nothing else needs to be removed from the current 60/120gb models but that. Put a controller up to a PS3 and you'll see that it's not longer than 2 side by side (maybe by like an inch at most). So it's not too unbelivable to think it would be 1.5 controllers long.
It'll make saving up a lot easier. A price cut pushs me to 100% purchase for Christmas, so if this rumor is true, HAPPY GINGER I AM.
I'm not against it, I just think that it will run amazingly hot, and if that's the actual slim design, it looks pretty bad.
No offense, but it sounds like poor rationalization of something many of you "think" you ought to have, but really have no interest in owning. That's totally fine though; just own up to it.
