Xbox 360 owners have been playing Rock Band 2 for about a month now, and today MTV Games and Harmonix are finally officially revealing the release dates (sort of) for other consoles.

PlayStation 3 owners can pick up the game this Sunday, October 19, and should blow up Harmonix's office phones to thank them for the short notice. The Wii and PlayStation 2 versions of the game will be available in December; no specific date has been revealed.

Houston, TX-based Pi Studios has been revealed to be handling the Wii version of the title, which has been confirmed to support online modes and downloadable content. The game will feature a full online in-game Music Store, and will contain every piece of DLC currently available, dating back to the original Rock Band

Details on release dates and pricing can be found after the jump.

[Update: Quick correction, straight from Harmonix -- the Wii Rock Band store will not feature a full DLC library day one, as we originally reported. It will, however, offer up 50 tracks -- 30 DLC, along with the promised 20 free tracks. Harmonix plans on updating the back catalog moving forward, and will be working to have the store up to date with other consoles in the coming months.]

GH:World Tour will make you play again. Save your cash for the GH drum set, it blows the RB2 set away.

Glad I have a 360 so I'm not getting ripped off like everyone else.

GH:WT's drum set is too flimsy. Even these are better than those.

The bundle is also finally out for 360, so I'll be picking that up on Tuesday when I have to go to the store for LittleBigPlanet.

Drum set or no drum set, what matters is the set list. And the set list for both RB2 and GH: WT are awesome.

Umm... I've known it's releasing on PS3 for a while now... When my g/f said she was getting it for me for Christmas, she wanted to know when it was released, and all it took was a look at the wiki page to find that it's release date is the 19th. They cited some page on IGN, I believe... but I'm too lazy to go check that. Either way, people that wanted to buy it for the PS3 weren't in the dark about when they could pick it up.

I got mine yesterday for the PS3. Meijer's (It's a store up in Michigan and the surrounding areas only, if you don't know) had a few copies, so I picked one up immediately. It's great.

I am still waiting for my RB2 stand alone software. I prepaid for it in October and I still haven't gotten a solid answer as to when it will be here in Canada and am getting fed up. Its especially annoying since I can buy GH: WT and RB2 is already available for all systems EXCEPT PS2
