The PlayStation Network becomes the Sony Entertainment Network this week, and we've finally discovered the real reason for the name change -- an excuse to put out new firmware! That's right folks, we're now up to firmware update v4.10 and it will include the following great new features:
- Minor Changes.
- Web browser slightly less shit.
- Set the time more accurately via the Internet when turning the PS3 on.
Woah, slow down there, Sony! Changes? As in, more than one change? For FREE!? You really are spoiling us with all this extra PS3 DLC. I cannot think of a company more generous than you.
I'm beginning to think we should set up a PayPal fundraiser or something, just to donate some extra money to Sony. It seems almost like robbery that we're getting so much firmware, so regularly, and aren't paying a single thin dime towards it. Let's club together and show our gratitude!

After what's felt like decades, Sony has finally gotten off its ass and delivered the thing we've all been waiting for -- more PlayStation 3 firmware! It's honestly been quite a while since the last one, and I was terrified S...
[Update: I guess I should mention that there's a 3DS update as well. It too adds "stability."]
I don't even own a Wii U and yet, rather inexplicably, I felt a rush of energy upon seeing Nintendo tweet about a new system updat...
Sony, feeling that last month's PS Vita firmware update wasn't generous enough, has bestowed users another opportunity to watch a progress bar on their handheld system. Firmware update 2.01 is now available for download. ...
Those of us who braved the Wii U launch probably all remember the dreaded "hour long mandatory update" that added functionality that kinda sorta was important. Like, oh I don't know, the ability to do anything online. Reggie ...
If the folks on Reddit are correct (when are they not?), hitting 'cancel' during the firmware update request on your Wii U will have the system downloading the update in the background. They say that once downloaded, you'll b...
