As announced on the PlayStation Blog, those of you hunting down wildlife in Far Cry 3 on PlayStation 3 will have exclusive content to play this January with the arrival of High Tides, a cooperative DLC pack. While few specifics were given, the new co-op chapters are named Jailbreak and Redemption, offering some clues about what they might involve.
According to Massive Entertainment writer Meghan Watt, the chapters are a continuation of the original six chapters that all players have access to. "These are the gang’s final moments, and we're really challenging ourselves to go all-out," she writes. "We've got new missions, tougher fights, bigger competitions, some great up-close time with your favorite characters, and explosive moments unlike anything you’ve seen before."
Kind of a bummer for some of us, considering how the co-op mode turned out. Having not yet picked up Far Cry 3, I don't think I'll be able to justify playing on PS3 when, by many accounts, the PC version is the obvious way to go here. Oh well!
