I found this more interesting then the PS3 code. That basically says there's more Paragon then Renegade points to be had.
Also, I'm failing to understand why so many people are getting up in arms about this. You'd think they're going to get rid of the 360 version or something judging by some of these comments.

This is how the rumor of Bioshock coming to the PS3 got started. i'd say there's reason to hope.

Damn double post, might as well make it a triple. The reasoning behind a possible PS3 version (months ago) is because they have upped the quality (graphically) and overall period. This is why Mass Effect 2 is on more than one disc this time around for Xbox360. They could have released a dumbed down version like Mass Effect (one), with lower graphical quality and everything else if they planned to keep it on the Xbox360. Since they were planning a PS3 version they had to up what Xbox360 had, and in order to do that they need multi-discs.

This is why like I've said for years, we PS3 players hate Xbox360 players and why Xbox360 player should love PS3 players. We push boundaries, whether it be price guide lines (Live! subscription, Live game pricing), to extending the quality of games for Xbox360 players (ME2). Where as it's the other way around for PS3 players Xbox360 lowers game quality (GTA, which is why they are doing LA Noire).

However, since no one around here understands a damn lick of anything technical, I'll just keep saying it off in the distance.

In an interview about Dragon Age, Bioware said that they loved working on Ps3 and that from now on they planned to do multiplatform games. Notice Dragon Age on Ps3 actually had the upper hand on the 360 version?

Mass Effect 1/2 WILL come to Ps3 at some point. And I'm pretty positive that Mass Effect 3 will be multiplatform.

Also, if you don't own Mass Effect 2 yet, I don't know why you're still here.

While it would be great to see it on PS3, a friend mine would love to play it.

Whoever, the code may say "PS3", but it could mean something other than "Playstation 3"

I've lived without Mass Effect, I can live without Mass Effect 2. If the team A.I. in either M.E. iteration is anything like that of Dragon Age: Origins, I've missed absolutely nothing.

Hopefully this is true, I'm all for a few first party exclusives to keep things interesting but with 3rd party games the more people that can play them the better.

Xenosaga 2 in the Eu had an DVD with all the scenes from 1, because we never got it.

As someone who buys most multi-plat games on PS3, this potential discovery does not affect me in the slightest with the original not being available. Half the fun is continuing the story you began.

If ME comes to the PS3 I'll sell my 360 on day one, the ME series is the only game that brings me back to my 360....

Mass Effect is coming for the PS3. It just makes financial sense for EA to do so. Money talks people, deal.

I did just say I wanted ME2 on Blu-Ray in regards to the FFXIII discussion, but it's meaningless without the original ME to continue from.

I'm gonna guess the programmers on Dragon Age got used to putting ps3 code in and put it by accident O.o. No big deal I highly doubt they'll put ME2 on it.

Please do not use DA:O as a gauge for ME's quality. They are two completely different teams and it shows. ME's quality trumps DA:O's in spades.

Has anyone mentioned this could be part of a preset template and they just never took it out? I'll reiterate this code says nothing.

Who cares if ps3 gets me1? That game was subpar and I never got close to finishing it. On the other hand I am loving me2. What a great game and I didn't need me1 to enjoy it. So you are wrong if you think me2 is just another rpg if you don't play the first. Your just butthurt cause your precious game might not be exclusive anymore. I own ps3 and 360 so a fanboy I am not. It'll be nice to see what bioware can do to the game with the added space of bluray.

I'd say the chances of it coming to PS3 are pretty good, and why not? I think the world would be a better place if all non-first party funded games came to both systems. God knows that there are quite a few non-Sony published PS3 games that I'd love to play, and I don't get why they weren't multi-platform. If Microsoft wanted to keep a stellar developer like Bioware away from Sony, they should have bought them before EA did.

Mass effect can still come to the ps3, albeit in a different form (Like Ninja Gaiden 2 ----> Sigma on Ps3, or the Gta4 Episodes).

But I'll have to agree with the majority here: 2 lines of code does not confirm jack diddly sh!t that mass effect 2 was/is Ps3 bound.

And yes EA largest income last fiscal year was the ps3 (it wasn't by the largest sum ever but still) I forgot where I saw it and I'm not looking anything up on this blackberry so go do your own homework.

Even if it wasn't the increased ps3 sales would more than warrent a port, now get a clue the next time you decide to type.

could just be unreal engine for you. theres ps3 code in alot of those games.

Considering its on Unreal 3, it's probably just code that gets generated by the SDK. Epic made the Unreal engine to work on all platforms, so there has to be some kind of PS3 code in the game.

There are other allusions to ME2 coming to PS3, like the fact that no one involved with the game is outright denying it.

Regardless, epic fucking win.

Assuming this comes out for PS3, I'm torn which platform to buy it for. On the one hand, the PS3 version will come on a single disc and depending on how long it is before it comes out it may have additional content included. I also have much more hard drive space on my PS3 for DLC. However, the XBox 360 would allow me to import my saved game.....

Whatever. Beat ME2 in less than a week and I did every mission. I felt that it was lacking. This is the next GTA4 for me. Good game but not as good as everyone claims. They can have it.

Hmm If they come to PS3 I would give them a rent. Probably wont like them because I dotn like RPG's but I do like 3rd and 1st person shooters. Anyways its third party, so why not put it on PS3, EA needs all the help it can get right now.

Only reason I haven't sold my 360 is because of ME. If EA releases ME 1 & 2 for PS3, I'm selling it.

I don't think it means anything. The game was built on a multiplatform engine. In many cases those engines poop out code for all platforms. Stripping that out would be more trouble than it's worth.

That's not to say that EA/BioWare wouldn't want to keep the door open to a future port. But I don't think this is any indicator of a master plan to release the trilogy on PS3.

It wouldn't surprise me if mass effect did go to the ps3. Video games are costing more to make. You hear of just about every company losing money and or firing people. Games are starting to go multiplatform because you can't make enough money on just one console anymore.
