PS3 campers get shot at

PS3 campers get shot at photo
     PS3

Think you got the stones to wait outside for a PlayStation 3 for two nights in a row? Well, how about you wait for one while being shot at! That's right, some upstanding citizens in Kentucky did an ol' fashioned drive-by with a BB gun on some PS3 campers -- we assume the perps are CounterStrike players and just can't stand campers. What's even funnier is that a local newscaster got caught in the crossfire. Pure awesome:

Dozens of people camped out in front the Best Buy store on Nicholasville Road. They're hoping to get their hands on a Sony PlayStation 3 console. But the wait turned serious when someone drove by and fired shots at people waiting in line.

Four people were hit by the BB pellets, including 27 NEWSFIRST reporter Elizabeth Dorsett. She was interviewing someone in line at the time. None of them were seriously hurt.

Police came to the store to investigate. They're still looking for a suspect.
Lexington Police say they'll stay at the Best Buy to make sure people in line stay safe.

So, if you're gonna camp, better come strapped. Things like this make us wonder why Nintendo fanboys will go to such lengths to ensure victory.

This is what happens when you charge between 400 and 600 for the best consoles. Life imitates the art and people get shot with bb guns. The less fortunate (monetarily and socially) and less employed come out for vengeance. This does however raise an idea for a new online ad campaign game. For FaKe Game Friday, "Kill The Campers" BB Gun Target Shooter game.

This is almost as good as the drive by Harry Potter ending. Best way to ruin a book ever.

The funnyist part of this story was how ron got mad when it was BB's "Oh god damnit... it's just BB's"

Just wait until the new PS3 owners try to get home with the goods. Then maybe it won't be BB guns. Great deduction Summa, it's possible but unlikely that these are Nintendo fanboys shooting.. it sounds more like a tactic to try to scare people out of line to me. I'd say even bored teenagers is just as likely too. I know i was doing drive-bys with a bb gun at that age. Ok, so maybe not at people. I'm going to be down at the SF Metreon tomorrow for the big launch. What should I do to the people in line besides shooting them Dick Cheney style?

Nah! Ninty fanboys don't like shooters remember?

Ninty fanboys would probably come and try to jump on their heads, or play a flute to make them fall asleep or something.
And then once they are down, squirt them with a water backpack.
