PS3 BioShock content will probably be a timed exclusive

PS3 BioShock content will probably be a timed exclusive photo

Since breaking exclusivity is all the rage these days in the console world, it’s easy to guess where 2K Boston may go with their updated BioShock PlayStation 3 content. Recently at Leipzig, Videogamer caught up to 2K Games senior producer Melissa Miller and asked her about the exclusivity of the PS3 version of the game’s content. Her response had the words “timed exclusive” stamped all over it.
Right now we are supporting the PS3 launch. We are really excited to be bringing the BioShock experience to a whole new set of fans. We've been concentrating on ways to make this game special. The things that we've added, they're not changing the original experience that the 360 fans and the PC fans got, but are things that compliment nicely that experience...Right now this is a PS3 exclusive.
If you were wondering, the rumored content is a new zoo area, opening cinematic, and enhanced visual quality. At this point game’s lifespan, I believe 2K would be crazy not to release DLC for Xbox 360 owners. I suppose we’ll see after PS3 owners get the opportunity to begin tackling Rapture on their own.

I'd love to get this game, but I've recently gotten nausea from playing FPS games so we'll see. :(

I don't see anything that even suggests that it will become DLC.

Im just glad the game is getting released for ps3. I think in about six months, the new content to be available as DLC for the 360.

Where, exactly, did that quote even remotely suggest that the bonus content would be a timed exclusive?

Seriously. Please come to the thread, and enlighten me.

I agree with Batty. I don't see the words "timed exclusive" stamped anywhere.

I think they'll eventually make it to the 360 and PC versions, but this doesn't confirm it.

Or maybe it will stay exclusive so that people have a reason to buy that version. I mean, if it came down to selling another copy or giving the shit away, I bet they'd choose selling another copy.

Of course, I'm buying it so it doesn't affect me either way. But I certainly wouldn't draw from his quote that he expected it to be a timed exclusive. I read it three times, am I missing something?

Very few things aren't timed exclusives these days.

BioShock was even more of a let down than GTAIV was. No thanks.

"Right now this is a PS3 exclusive."
Notice the "Right now"?? Yeah, that could imply the DLC being timed exclusive.

I honestly can't wait to play this on PS3.
