PS Store update: Stranger's Wrath, Karateka, and way more

11:00 PM on 12.18.2012

Lots of nice updates for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners today! First up, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD is now available for the Vita. A small team spent 10 months on porting the game, and shares the same features that are in the PlayStation 3 version with the addition of touchscreen and touchpad controls.

The Vita also sees the arrival of Burn the Rope, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed with bonus downloadable content, and the LittleBigPlanet 2 Vita Cross-Controller update letting you use your Vita as a controller, plus adding a ton of new content to the game for $4.99.

Over on the PlayStation 3 side, Karateka has arrived for $9.99, and Angry Birds Trilogy gets a new downloadable content pack which adds 130 new levels for $4.99.

Lastly, I want to mention Knytt Underground, a neat looking Metroidvania style game going for $14.99, and that includes both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions. Check out the trailer and this developer blog by the creative director for more on the game.

Review: LittleBigPlanet 3

Back in 2008, LittleBigPlanet was a staple in the Carter household for a good year. It was tough to put down as we earned a full 100% completion rate, and creating levels for each other was a joy. Floaty physics hate be ...more

LittleBigPlanet 3 pre-order plushies look worse than the 'real' thing

Sackboy was one of the best things to come out of the PS3 era. Most marquee PS3 games pushed for "realistic graphics," but when it came to replicating the human form, they landed in the uncanny vally more often than not. One ...more

Fan recreates Symphony of the Night in LittleBigPlanet 3

We're just two weeks away from LittleBigPlanet 3's November 18 release, but it doesn't feel that way. I think it's become its own thing, propped up by a community that has created millions of levels, all of which are grandfa...more
