PS Plus Update: Free Vanquish, Mega Man Maverick Hunter
In case Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance isn't enough action from Platinum Games for one week, PlayStation 3 owners can step up to the plate for a second helping in the form of Vanquish. The high-energy third-person shooter arrives this week on PlayStation Network for $19.99, but PlayStation Plus subscribers can give the game a whirl for free. Dust 514's Starter Pack and PSP classic Mega Man Maverick Hunter X also come gratis, while Urban Trial Freestyle is marked down to $11.99 for PS3 and $7.99 on Vita. But seriously, you should play Vanquish. That game is an absolute blast. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.

9:00 PM on 05.21.2013 Guild Wars 2 sheds a little off its priceDespite not playing as much Guild Wars 2 as I'd like to, that's okay -- it's not costing me anything. I can continue not playing free of guilt, which is the only way I can do MMO gaming any more, I've realized. ArenaNet has k...

| 6:56 AM on 10.19.2010 Review: Vanquish |

Platinum Games is a studio to admire. Its titles have never been huge sales successes, but the developer's status as a critical darling and a maker of great games, going right back to its Clover Studios roots, cannot be denied.more
