In case Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance isn't enough action from Platinum Games for one week, PlayStation 3 owners can step up to the plate for a second helping in the form of Vanquish. The high-energy third-person shooter arrives this week on PlayStation Network for $19.99, but PlayStation Plus subscribers can give the game a whirl for free.

Dust 514's Starter Pack and PSP classic Mega Man Maverick Hunter X also come gratis, while Urban Trial Freestyle is marked down to $11.99 for PS3 and $7.99 on Vita. But seriously, you should play Vanquish. That game is an absolute blast.

Review: Bayonetta 2

Outside of Devil May Cry 3, Bayonetta is one of the finest action games of all time. The action systems were so clean, so precise, and so rewarding that it leaves pretty much everything these days in the dust.Bayonetta 2 doesn't change a whole lot, and that's perfectly okay with me.more

Review: Fantasy Life

One of the biggest gripes I hear from friends interested in but hesitant to play Japanese role-playing games is that they're too "complicated." It's a sentiment I've never understood; several take great pains to be accessible...more
