Prototype comic coming in April: Like a videogame, but more comic booky photo

I had my hopes up for Prototype even when everyone said it looked lame, and hopefully my hopeful hopes aren't rewarded with hopelessness. Our glimpse of it in action at CES was promising, but glimpses often are.

Anyway, the news is that Radical Entertainment is willing to hype the everbloody stuffing out of Prototype, and that a comic book tie-in is on the way. It's scheduled for April, and will come from the pens of Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, along with comic book illustrator Darick Robertson.

The book will follow New York detectives on the trail of a mysterious and deadly killer as readers "enter a new era where human extinction and monstrous evolution collide! Featuring a variant cover by superstar artist Jim Lee!" Sounds variantastic!

The series will run for six issues and is published by WildStorm.

I'm a sucker for tie ins of the paper sort, be it comics or books. And I'm very excited about Prototype, so I'm probably going to keep an eye out for this.

If I see this I'll pick it up, but if I miss it, I miss it.

how the hell can anyone be skeptical of Prototype when they know the history of the team behind it? sure they're cocky, but they have reason to be.

I'm looking forward to Prototype, I like games where you can transform. I dunno why.

Hopefully this is better than the Mirror's Edge comic. I love the story of it, but I can't stand the visuals. This seems to have that department covered pretty well.

The game better come with these, or they should be free online like the back story for Dead Space.
