Meh. It's an ok trailer but this really doesn't represent what I want from this game at all. I don't give a fuck about Heller's family and I"m not interested in seeing him being an emo pussy. I'm excited about this game because I want to glide across a city fucking shit up again.

In total agreement. While I feel the game made him way too flat, I loved the look, the attitude, and the potential. It looks like they're really gonna push that in this one.

I'm going to approach this game like the majority of console titles with inevitable trickle down DLC... wait till it's 29.99 and then buy all the DLC so I get a 60 dollar product. (not pinpointing this game they actually have a good offer for pre ordering... just the environment today is making me take this stance)

Its almost like someone at Activision released that releasing pointlessly fraudulent trailers is a gold mine.
Aah, Johnny Cash: the go-to guy to lend your otherwise vacuous media project depth and soul. I wonder why they didn't apply his song to the Gamestop's butt kicking bonus trailer. That would have brought tears to my eyes.
Already on board for a day 1 purchase. If anything, this trailer makes me a little less excited. Please don't let Heller be all whiny and sad. Rage is what I want from him and it better be delivered!
The "Homecoming" trailer for this game got me more excited than this one. Having dramatic trailers and then having the Gamestop bio butt-bomb ad just seems weird.

They're fucking up Heller the same way they fucked up Mercer. How am I supposed to empathize with this guy's emotional plight when he can 'accidentally' murder several civilians whenever he swings his arms? At least with GoW you knew you were playing a total irrational asshole, and it worked because there was no disconnect between the story cutscenes and gameplay.
Pretty interesting to me that the main character is african american. Hope they write him like a person and not another stereotype.

I think the point of the narrative behind it allows Heller to go on murder sprees more willingly than Mercer. I want to kick Mercer's ass just because I know what he is capable of and it should be an intense fight as long as it stays out of typical boss fight territory.
Oh, and I want to see the sequel to the running over 500 civilians with one tank achievement.

If this game has indeed improved upon the first, I will definitely pick this up at some point. I liked Mercer, though, and I still am questioning the change in protagonists.
I don't consider myself racist, but I'm really surprised they chose the main character to be African-American. Again, I don't have an issue with it and will play as him no problem, but I don't think I'm wrong in saying there will be more than one gamer that won't buy this game based purely on that fact alone.
If I ruled out every gamer I've ever heard use the "n" word in a hateful manner online as a possible purchaser of this game, that would effectively eliminate over 50% of the people I deal with.

Huh. They do a remarkably good job of telling the new main character's story with this little piece right here. First thing I've seen to interest me in the game, to be honest.
I appreciate the direction they were trying to go with this, but it just came off as a huge chunk of cheese to me.
