I haven't either.. But it feels like we go through the same complaints every year, with every MW game lately -just usually without the dramatic protests and a lot more full on forum complaining.
However, there's something about that proposed blackout date...
Sure is PC-Gaming around these console parts.
@Isay Isay
Hitler's birthday is the best day for a protest.
I think it's funny that this is on the same day of the big Kony 2012 thing too.
I just play MW3 for fun. The only thing that I hate (that will never be fixed) is the lack of teamwork, rage quitters and stacked teams. I'm actually thinking of going back to playing Black Ops, since it has better maps, more balanced weapons and generally is a better MP experience.
After deciding to actually watch the video, their complaints are incredible petty, and some of the feature requests go far beyond the scope of a title update. And I play MW3 regularly...
I haven't had any problems at all with that game in terms bugs or glitches with MW3 at all and I play it allot.
That's the main difference between blizzard quality developers and those that care less about their fans than the money they make.
Yeah, I think once the smoke clears, these guys will realize they just need to mellow out.
Can't tell if sarcastic. If not, though, I'll ask when a group of angry people on the internet have EVER just one day realized they need to mellow out?
Regardless, this protest will do nothing. MW3 has over 600,000 people playing team deathmatch nightly. Even if they get 50,000 people, or even 100,000, to agree to this protest, it will mean nothing to Activision.
But where were these people when Activision decided to nickel and dime everyone to death with chronic DLC? The powers that be are clearly out of contact high up in their board rooms so they're not paying attention to the buzz surrounding these too little too late protests.
Oh the powers are high alright but the protest will no doubt be high too. I agree that something should have been rolled out against the expensive DLC but I get the feeling those who opposed it last year have already been filtered out of the playerbase.
These boycotts accomplish fuck-all, because in the end the vast majority who play CoD are children who don't give two fucks about this kind of shit and just wanna get their next AC-130 or whatever fucking whackamole killstreak they crammed there now. You want to send a fucking message? Set Activision HQ on fire, assassinate Kotick, kidnap and tortule Robert Bowling (I know he quit, but just for the lulz)...
