I'm behind this, so long as they add offline and online co-op, not MP. Tommy and Killian all the way! I can't wait to see some pre-rendered stuff, followed by some gameplay. OOOO, and the concept art. I look forward to that.
Concentrating all your resources into a single-player experience really has me interested, add some free-running and I'll definitely have to check this out!

not saying prey was the best game ever, but the use of gravity and portals was innovative and well executed (BEFORE PORTAL YO!) which counts for a lot when most games don't have anything remotely new to offer. also, i will never forget the hilarious, fucked up battle against tommys half alien girlfriend. also had wall vaginas. what's not to like?

Thought the original prey was middling & wasn't at all hyped for this, but the extra details like the mirrors edge movement thing have got me curious. I'll keep an open mind.

Exactly. First Prey was a good solid game in Id engine, looked great at the time (I don't mean the coloring) and did what it's supposed to do. It still a nice looking game on PC, don't know about xbox version, at the time didn't even know/care about it at all :)

I am playing Prey for the first time now and loving it. I know its shooting mechanics are a little old and the use of portals are not as new but the game just feels so refreshing. Anyone else feel the same?
A dedicated campaign sounds awesome, since you know, that's what made the first game great. Still not sold on the change of protagonist, but we'll see as time goes on what Human Head can do to change my mind. Looking forward to more information.

Agreeing with Epic-KxDtoid on this one. There are some games that have no real need to have MP, Prey is one of them.
Ditching multi-player to concentrate on the single player experience sounds great. Although they have got their work cut out for them to mash all the different aspects of other games together and not come out with a mess of brown sludge. Hopefully they can pull it off.
Well that makes sense cause Earths savior didn't want the job. No multiplayer, Mirror's Edge inspiration, SOLD!

There was a level in the first game, I think chapter 9, where you're walking along and all of the sudden a plane comes out of nowhere and crashes, which now the trailer would make sense. IMO that was one of the greatest moments in the game. Can't wait for this one.

NO MULTIPLAYER = NO BUY
I wasn't the only one who thoroughly enjoyed multiplayer in Prey 1 since that shit was packed from day one. Now that they've said NO MULTIPLAYER, they are in deep shit if the story sucks. A reverse-Homefront, if you will. I'll still buy it because I support the developer and the publisher for giving them more work, however, I have become very multiplayer-oriented player.
And before you pull a Bioshock 2 example, Prey1's Multiplayer was actually GOOD. Think of this more like Call of Duty going single-player only.
NO MULTIPLAYER = THIS SHOULD BE $20!
