An asplosion of Project Natal news has hit the Internet today thanks to MCV, shedding launch some details on the Xbox 360's latest attempt to corner the fabled casual market. The beans were spilled at a behind-closed-doors tour of Microsoft's UK studio, so some of the information is a little Euro-centric. Everybody interested in Natal should give it a look, though.
It appears as if Microsoft's motion-sensing technology will launch in the latter end of 2010, with a November release window being named. There will also be fourteen titles at launch, although none of the actual games have been revealed. We're guessing something Viva Pinata related, a racing game and then twelve sports titles. As far as pricing goes, it's suggested Natal will trade for "Sub-£50" in the UK, which means it will cost less than the RRP of a videogame.
Interesting stuff indeed. Can't wait to jump around the living room like a spastic trying to has sex with a porcupine.

I bet the top selling game will be natalsports, then natalsports plus.
The only thing I can see Natal work with is party-games, sport games and mini-games, which is essentially all the same.
It would be helpful in some games if it were used to subtle features like tilting head = tilt camera, but I don't think that is the "revolution" MS is going for.
as to the matter at hand anything more than 50 quid is commercial suicide.
I'm sure there will be plenty of useless waggle games as well, but it may not be completely useless to the rest of us.
Certainly more interesting than the rival motion controls, but whether it's as good will be the clincher.
I have no interest in Motion control - not on my favourite console; not on the other ones either...
..my daughter, on the other hand...
@Static Jak - there's just no pleasing some people. And as for the very definition of "worth"... well, it's just not "worth" going into.
@linuxguy - well said, sc's responses to anything 360-based are becoming incredibly predictable, like he lives for it. It's not enough to enjoy the PS3, but he has to spew bollox about his "enemy" too. Some would say he's perhaps a little insecure.
Also nice to know the PS3 fanbody woke up early this morning to troll.
If they made Viva Pinata Natal my wife would go ballistic. We'd have to buy it.
"retarded fuckfaced cuntknuckles" = lmao.
lmao they'd be trying to play that slap ball thing and get over excited and bam hit their thin lcd off the table
For those who don't know, 50 Euro does not equal 50 US Dollars."
The article says 50 POUNDS not 50 Eurodollars, and usually something that costs a Euro DOES cost a dollar in the states because we won't pay more and Europeans usually will. The exchange rate usually works AGAINST European consumer pricing. If it costs $50 in the US it will probably cost $50 Eurodollars in Europe or even MORE. Of course British Pounds work a bit differently but asking them to pay above the exchange rate equivalent of the US price is very common and sometimes the UK price IS a dollar to Pound conversion (which is a HUGE rip off).
I really, REALLY don't like that there isn't a specific date and price, because that means both can be changed way too easily as there was never any commitment to the approximated price and release window. I also would greatly appreciate knowing what the software will be, as the Wii has taught me to have low expectations for motion controlled games unless proven otherwise. But having a semblance of actual information is a nice change of pace.
Glad to hear it'll be less than the cost of a game though - and hopefully the games are actually "next gen" and not a repeat of the Eyetoy fiasco.
Still, Sony's going to get the jump on them this time around, since their controller will launch early 2010, if that's still on track. Plus, I still need my controllers to have actual buttons.
