Speaking in an interview, Microsoft Saudi's Marketing Manager International Man of Mystery, Syed Bilal Tariq, has confirmed that Project Natal will be releasing worldwide sometime in October.
Not surprising in the least, mind you. October is a long enough window from Christmas to build the hype for big sales in the holiday season and I think they're going to have to market the hell out of this thing to get the results necessary to make the new motion peripheral a success.
Tariq goes on to say that more information will be coming at E3, which we're all well aware of by this point. Do you think maybe they'll be ready to give the thing its actual name? Maybe? Natal isn't all that bad, but they could certainly do better.
(Update: Turns out that Tariq does not work for Microsoft but for one of their 3rd-party vendors. The information may still be correct but, clearly, this paints things in a much more speculative light.)

Microshaft could whack their logo on a white dogshit, tell the 360 community it NEEDS THIS DOGSHIT and they would buy it. Perhaps slap "available on the 360 dogshit add on" on every multiplat advert on the Tv for a few months.
No doubt it would be grossly overpriced and break within a year, but still they would be queing up around the block on launch day. They could then release a bunch of white flies to "enhance your dogshit" and billions of 360 users would buy that shit up at disgusting prices.
Best thing is, this place would be full of people saying how fucking amazing it is to have a dogshit on your console!!!
Microsoft is the worst. I still remember when they told their fans to get a second job to be able to afford the privilege of buying their absurdly over-priced console. And the little dullards smiled and lined right up to hand over their $599. Yep, those Microsoft fans are the only ones who....oh wait.
I'll get excited for natal if they bring out a demo of something more interesting than wii style party game knock offs or Peter Moleyneux's Sim Paedo 2010.
At least Playstation Move looks like it might herald the type of decent motion control gameplay that the wii almost threatens to provide us with.
But I'm getting a distinct stench of both parties trying to get in on a casual market already cornered by Nintendo.

Don't be so sensitive. My point is that overpriced products are in no way exclusive to Microsoft, and neither are the fans who buy those overpriced products.
Don't lump all 360 owners together. Lots of us (especially around D-toid) have very little interest in Natal, regardless of price point. I know you like to say absurd things to get people's attention, but I'd like to know that you don't genuinely believe the silly generalizations that you make. That would be scary.

In the past I was against natal and move, but as their release looms ever closer I'm kinda getting excited. The move will bring quality HD wii type gaming to my house and despite what anyone says natal has a very good chance of bringing ground breaking and fun gamining into our livingroom. I hate how it's cool to hate certain things just because it's cool to hate. Damn everyone give these things a chance:)
