Project Giana gets official name and release date
We detailed six reasons to support the Project Giana Kickstarter just over a month ago, and it seems many agreed as Black Forest Games raised nearly $200,000 for the game, well over the goal set by the company. Those who pledged will soon reap the rewards of their donations as Project Giana now has a new name and an official release date. The game's official title has been announced as Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and it will see a worldwide release for PC on Tuesday, October 23. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)It's nice to see something happen with the Giana Sisters. It's great to see what was originally a failed multiplatform Mario demo turned attempted Mario killer find a true identity. I have a feeling this game will end up on my PC in the near future. I'm going to hold out for the super sweet OUYA release .... *begins to laugh uncontrollably*
*wipes tear from eye* No seriously already bought it on PC back during the kickstarter. Sweet! I think I'd have liked a more stylized aesthetic, but this does look very gorgeous! I'll definitely pick up a version of this, especially since it'll get a console release! I would get this on Steam just because I like mechanics that change the instrumentation of BGM on the fly. I backed this after seeing the world-shifting mechanic. I love a game that is predicated on one basic idea, then uses it to fuel a majority of the content. This looks really good. I especially like the music. Looking forward to it hopefully getting approved by steam greenlight! I had a bit trouble playing the demo due to the twisting, which felt a bit unnatural because of the number of buttons. I imagine it will be easier to manage with a controller. Kind of looks like a spiritual successor to Crash Bandicoot for some reason. Not my thang, unfortunately. 10:30 PM on 05.22.2013 Raise your badger children in Might and Delight's ShelterLife as a mother badger doesn't strike me as something that would be particularly easy, but conflict sure does make for an interesting story.
