I thought the buggy releases were mostly due to harsh deadlines by publishers. If you look at their past releases you will see that for the scale of the games involved there was not a lot of time to get it done.

How can it be the publisher's fault every time? Believe it once or twice but after that you have to start looking at the common denominator.
@AngryAvatar: Developers do in-house QA to rid the bugs and the sort for different platforms. If it was up to the publisher than that'd alone be too expensive and not worth the money. The deadlines most definitely take a toll on QA testing though if you're restricted on how long you actually have to play through it on different platforms and rid the errors.
@Polite Gentleman: Getting it done is not the problem, it's the patches to fix the problems that take an eternity.

I'm having quite the dilemma. Yes, I'm one of the people that blames Obsidian for the sad state of their releases, but I also couldn't help but pledge.
Now, I don't know whether to pledge and extra $25 to try the game the way I'm used to playing Obsidian games, buggy and unstable, or just wait to see what the actual released product is.

They are working on 1 platform, don't have to worry about porting and how that would work and also no publisher to be on their ass for releasing the game ASAP.
