Professor Layton traveling America, giving free stuff photo

Nintendo is sending out a Professor Layton lookalike to four major cities across the United States. Why? To give people free stuff! Tomorrow, the Layton will be somewhere in Minneapolis from 11AM to 1PM. If you spot the Layton, approach him and he’ll challenge you into solving some puzzle. Solve it and you could win a copy of the new Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box or a Nintendo DS system.

Layton will also be visiting:

  • Fri., Sept. 25: Miami
  • Tues., Sept. 29: Boston
  • Wed., Sept 30: Seattle

At 10AM on each date Layton is making an appearance, the official Web site will have a clue giving you an idea as to where exactly Layton will be appearing.

If you got the brain teasing solving skills, then go give it a shot. If you don’t, I don’t know, mug him? I mean, don’t. That’s bad.

Don’t do bad things.

@sicPOS
Dude are you kidding me? The gaming world fucking hates MD. Everything is either ridiculously far away, just far away to be inconvienent, or poorly planned.

Funny because Baltimore is the underrated city for all the great events in entertainment...except video game events. We even get the occasional kick ass concert (we were one of the few cities to get McCartney for example). Not fo' nuthin' but if DToid ever wanted to start a little something in a desperate place that would give them a hundred million dollars, a blowjob, and the loyalty of their family from now into the next three generations Baltimore would be a good place to consider.

@Xzyliac
I know, it happens every time. I hear some even gaming related is going on and I always ask why it's not happening in MD. The closest place stuff ever happens is usually in NY.

Should read "gaming related event" not "even gaming related".
That's how disappointed I am. I've lost my grasp on the English language.

This time, Layton beckoning Luke to come closer will be less awkward!

Or not.

This sucks...it's no where near DC or Baltimore.

@Xzyliac
You're right, unless you live in Baltimore or in any area near a heavily used bus route or metrorail, you are forced to use the car. And I don't even have a drivers license , or a car, or even a job to get both a drivers license or a car.

It's cool that they're going to the smaller major cities, but come on, where's the Cali love, baby?

"Now, Luke, imagine I had an 8 x 8 chessboard, and each pretzel took up 2 x 3 spaces, and I cannot place any one pretzel on top of the other, then how many whole pretzels could I place on the chessboard?
...Luke?...
...where are you going?..."

I actually read the contest rules and it specifies where he's going to be.

All you can do is win a copy of the game which I already own :/

Might go anyways and see if I can win one to give away.

I'm a bit confused. In the article it says Layton will be here in Miami on Friday, September 25th. But on the website, it says 'Miami - Contest coming on 9/29'. So which is it? Friday or next Tuesday?
