Well, it won't be it's own standalone RPG ... but the new Professor Layton game (the fourth in the series) will have some RPG elements in it. Joystiq reports that at last night's Level-5 Vision conference the company revealed that Professor Layton and the Devil's Flute will come with a bonus game called Professor Layton and London Life (see more screens here).
This isn't just a quick add-on, though. According to Level-5's Akihiro Hino, London Life will last over 100 hours. Um ... wut? Devil's Flute will be released on November 26th in Japan, so I suspect we'll know more soon enough. Is it me or do the few screens from it in the gallery remind you a whole lot of Mother 3? God, I want this BAD.

It's made by Brownie Brown, the devs behind Mother 3. This is a preview of Fantasy Life, which is also Level 5 + Brownie Brown.

I think there must be some kind of catch to that "over 100 hours" thing, but it still looks awesome.
As for the Mother 3 resemblance, it's definitely there. But Fantasy Life has that resemblance times 10. Can't wait for both games!
I know. I hate feeling so far behind the curve with regards to a series as awesome as this.
