NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits

09-16-2011

Some games get a mobile port where the touch interface doesn't really add anything. Other games actually benefit from the tension of having to use multiple touch controls simultaneously where the effect is enhanced compared t...

Nuclear Dawn

10-10-2011

InterWave Studios' implementation of RTS gameplay in their multiplayer FPS Nuclear Dawn has made it quite attractive to fans of both genres. The very idea of building structures, defenses and issuing commands to other pl...

No Time To Explain

09-01-2011

It pained me to come down hard on No Time To Explain back in my review last year, but some design issues and bugs left me no choice. The silly time-traveling platformer has since been Greenlit on Steam, and released -- it's ...

No More Heroes Heroes' Paradise

08-29-2011

When No More Heroes was first released on the Wii back in 2008, I'd never played anything quite like it, and that was a good thing. In fact, Anthony Burch and I thought it was a great thing, and plenty of other gamers seemed ...

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

01-27-2010

At the time of this writing, I have just finished No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle after a 16-hour marathon play through, with occasional breaks to nap and go to the bathroom. This is not the best way to go about playing ...

Nitronic Rush

11-09-2011

Last year the impossible happened: Nitronic Rush dethroned San Francisco Rush 2049 for being the best futuristic racer with "Rush" in the title. Now the developer is going to do a retail victory lap with spiritual successor ...

Nintendogs + Cats

03-24-2011

According to my Doctor Who calendar, the time of year where children are encouraged to support obesity by leaving cookies out for a fat burglar who magically fits in chimneys is almost upon us. I'm preparing by trying to make...

Nintendo Land

11-17-2012

I forgot Nintendo Land existed until a couple weeks ago. Like some of you, I only recently bought a Wii U and after looking at some "what to play" lists for my next multiplayer game, I was reminded of this minigame collection...

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus

02-20-2012

You've probably played this game. Any well-versed gamer should have played Ninja Gaiden in some form at least once before. It was a big deal on the original Xbox as it marked the return of the classic Ninja Gaiden. Later we s...

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus

03-01-2013

After the extremely sour-tasting Ninja Gaiden III that was, in my mind, a disaster in nearly every way possible, it's a bit hard to trust Team Ninja without Tomonobu Itagaki at the helm. Nonetheless, Team Ninja is still extre...

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge

11-13-2012

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 ports of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge are due out on April 2, but before full release, Team Ninja has put out a demo for this updated take on the action title. The demo itself features gameplay ...

Ninja Gaiden 3

Ninja Gaiden 3 has received its first downloadable content package, available as a bundle or as a selection of paid and free downloads. They include weaponry missing from the main game, and items for the multiplayer mode.&nbs...

Nihilumbra

01-30-2015

There's a nugget of a solid game here in Nihilumbra. Unlike many of the PlayStation Vita's offerings, it uses the touchscreen in a novel way that doesn't feel tacked on or forced. And the puzzle-platforming is supported well by an ethereal art style, score, and sound design. You just have to wade through a jumble of pseudo-philosophy to get to it.

NightSky

10-25-2012

Have you played NightSky yet? We've got Steam codes for all of our members right now, courtesy of our friends at Nicalis. Destructoid's Jonathan Holmes gave it an 8/10, calling NightSky a "physics-focused puzzle platfor...

NiGHTS into dreams...

11-10-2012

Full disclosure: I missed out on NiGHTS when it was originally released on the Saturn. I had the demo disc, but never played it, and the PlayStation 2 release never hit North America. Now that it's available via download on console, I figured I'd take a crack at it and see what all the hype was about back in the day. I was not prepared for this game.

Nidhogg

01-14-2014

If you've got a lot of controllers and a lot of friends, these past couple years have been tailor-made for you. Between games like Towerfall (great), Samurai Gunn (great), Super Smash Bros for Wii U (okay), Divekick (ba...

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

01-21-2013

Here's a deal that's almost impossible to pass up for any fans of role-playing games. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is only $5 right now during a Sony Flash Sale. That's so stupidly cheap! There are a few other decent ...

NHL 15

09-24-2014

EA Sports used NHL 15 to simulate and predict the upcoming NHL season which begins next week. The results are most likely terribly wrong because nowhere does it anticipate that the Colorado Avalanche will be crowned Sta...

NHL 13

10-10-2012

There's one deal on PlayStation Plus this week that just seems too good to pass up. Starting tomorrow, Critter Crunch will be available for only $1.40. At that price there's almost no excuse not to be regurgitating color...

NHL 12

09-23-2011

Of the four major North American sports, hockey ranks behind only football in terms of its physicality. It’s a brutal game played at high speed; finesse players make headlines with their graceful goal-scoring, but bigge...

NHL 11

Hockey is definitely not North America’s most popular sport, but even non-fans can recognize that the past two entries in EA Sports’ NHL franchise stand among the all-time great sports videogames. But with its sim...

NFL Blitz

The long-in-the-works high-definition revival of NFL Blitz has finally arrived, less than three months after EA officially announced it last fall. It’s an idea that gamers of all stripes could get behind; after all, you...

Nexuiz

02-28-2012

No time to reload, no need -- this was the attitude of arena first-person shooters in the '90s. Before Valve and Infinity Ward stepped in and shook things up, we PC gamers were more than content with Quake III and Unreal To...
