NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits

09-16-2011

Some games get a mobile port where the touch interface doesn't really add anything. Other games actually benefit from the tension of having to use multiple touch controls simultaneously where the effect is enhanced compared t...

Nyan Cat Adventure

03-23-2012

Xbox Live Indie title Nyan Cat Adventure is now available for iOS. A free version gives you the basic "Party" mode and the traditional Nyan Cat to play with, while the $0.99 version gives you more Nyans and more modes. I gave it a spin to see what has changed from 21st Street Games' XBLIG version, and to see whether or not it still induces seizures on the smaller screen real estate.

Nova-111

03-13-2015

It may not be as enthralling (or wacky) as a cat cafe timeshare, but Funktronic Labs has something it wants to sell me.  You see, these two guys heard I was wandering around GDC last week with a satchel full of money, j...

Not Pacman

01-14-2013

Let the headline swirl in your head a bit, then come back. Indie studio Stabyourself.net has a knack for recreating classic 80s games pixel for pixel but with the application of modern physics for a wild new take on an old f...

Not A Hero

02-19-2015

Not a Hero, from the OlliOlli developers, impressed the heck out of us at PAX last year, yet I'd almost forgotten about it completely. Bad on me, because damn, it still looks fire.  An anthropomorphic purple r...

Nosgoth

01-15-2015

During my time with Nosgoth I found it to be a middling Legacy of Kain game, but a decent arena romp. More gamers are going to get the chance to check it out starting January 21, since that's when the open beta star...

Noct

02-09-2015

The derelict building was a sanctuary, a place to gather supplies and take shelter from the horrors of the outside world. I moved from one chamber to the next, anxiously investigating the structure, sighing in relief upon cle...

Noby Noby Boy

01-07-2012

Can I just say, first of all, if you show me a toucan in a game, I want to ride that toucan. Players might be as frustrated as ever that Roman centurions are riding mechs and tropical birds while they spend time eating their ...

No Wave

Aside from videogames, music is my other big passion in life, whether it's just listening to it, going to gigs or reading about various bands or periods in music history. So when I got a message from the developers of No Wave...

No Time To Explain

01-25-2013

It pained me to come down hard on No Time To Explain back in my review last year, but some design issues and bugs left me no choice. The silly time-traveling platformer has since been Greenlit on Steam, and released -- it's ...

No More Heroes Heroes' Paradise

08-29-2011

When No More Heroes was first released on the Wii back in 2008, I'd never played anything quite like it, and that was a good thing. In fact, Anthony Burch and I thought it was a great thing, and plenty of other gamers seemed ...
