Valdis Story: Abyssal City

01-02-2014

I played just about every major release under the sun in 2013 -- but naturally, some of the smaller titles escaped me. I'm really glad they brought it to my attention.

Valhalla Knights 3

10-17-2013

I have no idea what's going on in this trailer for the recently released, Japanese and PS Vita only, Valhalla Knights 3 Gold, but I have to say I'm mildly entertained. Well more entertained than I was when I reviewed th...

Valiant Hearts: The Great War

06-24-2014

Valiant Hearts: The Great War was a wonderful experience that came out not too long ago on consoles and PC. And now it's set to arrive on iOS devices on September 4. Same game, just controls redesigned with touch screen in mind. No price point was given, but now you will have no excuse to miss this one.

Valkyria Chronicles II

08-31-2010

During yesterday's show we were pleasantly surprised when David "Papa" Bruno from Sega showed up with great prizes for the community. He also dropped off a title we have been waiting to get our hands on, Valkyria Chronicles. Today we will be flying into this game for the first time. Join us at 4-8PM PST on Justin.Tv/Destructoid.

Vampire Crystals

03-16-2013

The rare act of generosity aside, support for WiiWare has been reduced to almost nothing, leaving the platform to shuffle along until the earth swallows it up. How fitting then that one of its few releases in recent months wo...

In case Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance isn't enough action from Platinum Games for one week, PlayStation 3 owners can step up to the plate for a second helping in the form of Vanquish. The high-energy third-person shooter arr...

Velocity

05-28-2012

The choice was simple: Go indie or go big. However, over the past console generation, this changed. Now, some indies make more money than major studios, and “going indie” has become a fair bit more difficult th...

Victoria II: A House Divided

02-18-2012

Victoria II: A House Divided adds 1861 as a new starting point to Victoria II. This puts you right at the beginning of the American Civil War, meaning you can pick the Confederate States of America as your fact...

Victoria II: Heart of Darkness

05-10-2013

To call Victoria II dense would be a gross understatement. It's a pound cake, with each ingredient -- the tangled politics, vast wars, and simulated economies -- adding greater depth and increasingly complex, interweaving sys...

VidRhythm

09-08-2011

VidRhythm is a silly little iOS thing that's a lot of fun to play with. I created the above corgi music video with it. I've already recommended it to you, but I'm giving you another push now as it's free today. Harmonix...

Virtua Fighter 5 Online

Volgarr the Viking

09-23-2013

Volgarr the Viking is a pretty awesome success story. It stayed with its old school roots and gave us a punishing, yet fair retro 2D adventure, and it became a hit in many circles. Now, according to an ID@Xbox announcement at...
