Activision Publishing has announced another Cabela's title, this time Cabela's Adventure Camp. It's a collection of mini-games designed around motion controls, so it'll be hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. As expected...

The Cabela's series has been going strong for many years now, creating such well-known titles as Cabela's Alaskan Adventure and Cabela's Outdoor Trivia Challenge. With the latest installment of its man vs. nature shooter, Ca...

Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts was released into the wild today for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii U. Activision released this trailer to accompany the launch. I love it so, so much. It's less about the gameplay, which...

"Fearmaster controller? What the hell is that?" I found out, and promptly had to write a post about it. The Top Shot Fearmaster is a gun peripheral for Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013, otherwise known as the series with some of...

Not to be outdone by the harsh competition in the hunting game genre, Cabela's has gone the way of the narratively driven videogame with Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai, supported by perhaps the greatest box art of 2011....

We've already had three quarters of the Season Pass on offer so far in Black Ops II's lifespan, and we're finally on the last bit of DLC. Apocalypse is a curious prospect, with two remakes, two brand new maps, and a zombies m...

The first of four content collections for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to be released on Xbox Live March 20. Imaginatively titled Content Collection #1, it contains four multiplayer maps: Liberation, Piazza, Overwatc...

Thanks to Activision this morning we now know a whole bunch of number based facts about Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Curious how many times players have boosted around the world? Over 14,000. How many grenades have been th...

The past few years have seen Microsoft hold a temporary monopoly on Call of Duty add-ons. That hasn't changed with Advanced Warfare, as Xbox players have been mowing down zombie puppies for a solid week now. Activis...

[Update: Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition has sold out at this price. The other deals still appear to be available.] It was only a couple of days ago that the Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition launched in North A...

The Wii U often gets the shaft in terms of DLC. It either gets it late, not at all, or is left completely in the wind as to what the status is. Nearly every major publisher has pulled one of these moves, most notably Activisi...

Yeah, girl! SHAKE IT! Here's our review for Call of Duty: Black Ops II: Revolution if you're curious.

PlayStation 3 and PC owners of Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be getting the Uprising downloadable content starting on May 16. The DLC will run $14.99, includes four new maps, and the new Mob of the Dead addition to the zom...

Call of Duty: Ghosts started out pretty damn poorly, but over the course of its three DLC packs, it's become a much better game overall. The newest add-on is Invasion, which is one of the best Call of Duty DLCs to d...

So far in the saga that is Call of Duty: Ghosts, the fun factor of the game has increased tremendously through the first two map packs -- Onslaught and Devastation, which allow you to play as Michael Meyers and Pred...

Activision's doing its best to drum up hype for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but it's not ready to leave Call of Duty: Ghosts behind like some sort of unloved orphan child. No, it has unfinished business, as the ...

Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught DLC was released last month for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. And like clockwork, the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game will see the new content a month later. Specifically ...

I'll hand it to Infinity Ward for spicing things up by included the Predator in Call of Duty: Ghosts with its Devastation DLC pack. More moves like that and the studio might just win over some of the fans who have moved on to...

Look, $50 is a lot of money for a Season Pass in a first-person shooter. If it was just comprised of 16 maps alone, no matter how good they were, it probably wouldn't be worth the money for all but the most diehard of FPS fan...

The biggest game of the year is finally here. Infinity Ward created one of the most popular, well-crafted and subsequently imitated first-person-shooter games in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and a sequel was inevitable. Tw...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has removed a map from its servers after Muslim gamers complained (in fairness, quite politely) of offense. The problem lies in two paintings hung in a bathroom in the Favela map, containing the...

Call of Juarez is a series I've always wanted to enjoy. It's hard not to admire its attempts at clever storytelling, and the commitment to creating a wild west first-person shooter in an age where everything's about blasting ...

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood wasn't a great videogame by any stretch of the imagination, but it had a certain charm to it, and some terrific ideas. The series seems to be all about these really clever design choices that suffer from a lack of follow-through, be it through lack of time, skill, budget or all three.  Call of Juarez: The Cartel is exactly like that. But worse. Far worse.

So it seems that Call of Juarez's brief stint in the modern era is over with. Goodbye and good riddance, I say. Returning to the old west setting of its series heritage, Call of Juarez: The Gunslinger aims to bring an arcade flair all its own. Does it actually work, though?
