Minnesota-based developer Monster Games is no stranger to resurrecting long-dormant franchises for Nintendo. In 2006 it released the spiritual successor to the NES classic Excitebike, Excite Truck for the Wii. Then, just thre...

Where there is a new system, there is a new Warriors game waiting in the wings. Tecmo Koei has gotten in early this time, ready for the 3DS' launch with Samurai Warriors Chronicles, yet another button-bashing foray into the world of medieval Japan.  Maybe Tecmo Koei rushed in a little too early this time.

Ridge Racer 3D is one of two racing games available for the 3DS at launch, and since the other one is part of GameLoft's Asphalt series, there's really only one choice.  Ridge Racer 3D's overall goal seems quite clear --...

Ladies and gentlemen, here's to Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, the first million-selling title on the 3DS! This doesn't come as much of a surprise, though. It's easily the best of the available launch titles and should ...

In addition to bits about Mario's latest adventure, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has also shared with French journalists plans to bring Flipnote Studio to the 3DS eShop. For those of you unaware, Flipnote Studio is a free prog...

The 3DS eShop finally comes to the 3DS on June 6 in the United States and June 7 in Japan. The service is similar to the Wii Channel and DSiWare platform of digital delivery but it also marks a new direction Nintendo is takin...

Nintendo just barely got the 3DS eShop out the night before their E3 press conference, but they've got a nice surprise for all of you downloading the update this morning. The Virtual Console for the system has gone live with ...

Animal Crossing! Go swimming! Dress up as Link! Walk around! Clean a house! All this and more in the latest Animal Crossing 3DS teaser straight out of Nintendo's press conference from this morning! Looks like more of the same, but then again, I haven't actually played any Animal Crossing before.

It took them this many games for they decided to give Lakitu a break from fishing their sorry butts out of the drink? Yeah, there is underwater racing now. Doesn't look much different than racing on land, though. I was hoping for submarines. But there's gliding now! That's cool.

It's no secret that I love the Paper Mario series. And it's no secret that when the 3DS was announced at last year's E3, the game I wanted the most on it was the new Paper Mario. Sadly, a year later, still no word o...

Yes, those goombas have raccoon tails. Amazing. A new Mario platformer on any Nintendo system is always exciting, but one made specifically for the 3DS and created by the team that developed Super Mario Galaxy? Well, that's s...

Before the review begins, I feel it's my duty to warn anybody who considers purchasing this -- there's barely any mention of the Moon at all. In fact, the Moon appears in the campaign's end credits more than it appears in the game itself.  Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a big lie.

Sometimes publishers offer amazing incentives for pre-ordering a game. Depending on circumstances such as where you live, those bonuses may not always be available, no matter how much you might want them.  Lucky for us t...

The return of the Tanooki suit has been a big talking point for Super Mario 3DS, but Nintendo has revealed that it won't be the only famous costume to make a return. Mario will get to dress in a few other togs from yesteryear...

When I first started playing Dream Trigger 3D, I despised it with every fiber of my being. It was chaotic and confusing, with controls that didn't make sense and a tutorial that does nothing to explain how one is supposed to play.  After spending a fair few hours with the game, all of the above is still true, but now I like the game. It's always weird when that happens.

[Update: I'm told that the Corgi breed will be in the final game!] To help promote the new Create-a-Pet tool for the The Sims 3 Pets, my very own Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Einstein, was Simified! They took pictures of my bel...

Growing up in the 80's, one of my absolute favorite cartoons was The Magic School Bus. I was entertained by the ridiculous animations, wacky writing  and catchy tunes while actually learning things that I would probably ...

Nintendo Japan's Minna no Nintendo Channel project has brought us a couple of new videos. The most notable is a new commercial for upcoming 3DS game Super Pokemon Scramble. I've said it before, but I think this game looks ...

In some circles, the Green Lantern movie and games have been a major success. So much so that the folks at WB have decided to give fans a chance to peek behind the curtain at the making of Rise of the Manhunters. They're definitely right about one thing, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan, specifically) is a fantastic super hero. The jury may be out on the movie and games, but he's a damn good character.

SEGA has confirmed the release dates of Shinobi 3DS and CRUSH3D, with the sidescrolling ninja revival arriving November 12 and the perspective-bending puzzler dropping in on February 21.  Shinobi is looking quite promisi...
