The follow-up to Sengoku Basara 3: Samurai Heroes (Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes to us) is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Wii in Japan. Entitled Sengoku Basara 3: Utage ("Utage" being an archaic term for "Party"), Capcom finally revealed that it's coming November 10, 2011.

No weapons? Wii waggle? And a "re-imagining" of the first Silent Hill game is what they're calling this? The combination sounds like Silent Hill: My Worst Nightmare, and I don't mean that in a good way. Boy, was I ever wrong....

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is doing something no other videogame has ever done by making real collectible toys be an integral part of a videogame experience. It's a novel concept, one that has left many people scratching their head at such an idea. In this new ambitious take from developer Toys for Bob, I finally got to see first hand just how this whole concept works.

Activision sent a box of those Skylanders Giants Happy Meal toys over. Bereft of anything interesting to do, I decided to review them. I didn't really review them, though. I just rambled sarcastically while playing with toys.  Videogame journalism is real.

Toys For Bob has found some rather interesting ways to evolve the Skylanders franchise. While the conceit the first time around was simply interactive toys, the developer mixed things up with giants on the second go, and...

While Sonic the Hedgehog has become quite famous for a string of terrible games over the past ten years, that's only really true in terms of home console output. Hyperbole states that we haven't had a good Sonic game since So...

Full disclosure: before playing Sonic Generations (3DS) for review, I had never finished a Sonic game. I bought all the collections and rented or bought used copies of all the Wii titles because I love the series in theory. S...

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 was considered a letdown by many longtime fans of the series, mostly due to the fact that its physics were not similar enough to the original Genesis titles. Part of the benefit of an episodic ...

If I'm being honest, the main reason I picked up Super Mario Galaxy when it came out was to see Rosalina. Her character design has always resonated with me. I mean, the game is fantastic, but I think I now prefer Rosalina to ...

Oh, you cuh-RAYzay hackers! What magic will you perform next? Some rosy-cheeked tinkerers have decided to hack the data for Super Mario Galaxy 2 to create a suite of custom levels called Super Mario Galaxy 2.5. The hack isn'...

I always enjoy PBS Digital's Game/Show as a source for smart commentary on the culture surrounding games. The whole videogame thing must be good for views, because the first episode of newest show Space Time! is all abo...

Look, I hate these posts as much as the next guy, alright? Kids. Yuck. Some people devote their lives to raising these little piles of germs with suspect motor skills. Even my dumb parents were foolish enough to fall into th...

How classy can one video game theme be? Just ask the Triforce Quartet, the dapper gentlemen captured performing the Super Smash Bros. Brawl theme here. It's sweet, sweet music to my ears, and I surmise it will be to you...

Ronimo Games is hard at work with Swords and Soldiers II, but that doesn't mean they're done with its predecessor. The developer has just announced that in collaboration with fellow Dutch developer Two Tribes, that they'...
