Dark Meadow

10-06-2011

Phosphor Games' Dark Meadow released last night for iOS, and I'd like to remind you all of that. I played it extensively last night and was thoroughly absorbed. It has melee combat similar to Infinity Blade, but spices things...

Dawn of the Plow

Death Rally

04-06-2011

Ahhh Death Rally, what memories you have given me back in the day. The old Remedy logo, the Apogee splash screen, the fact that it was basically Micro Machines with guns; what wasn't there to like? Now, almost 15 years after ...

Death Ray Manta

Cave is celebrating three years of selling its wares on mobile platforms by slashing prices on a number of its shooters until April 14. It's largely the same sale we see from them every few months, but there's one notabl...

Delver's Drop

03-29-2013

Crowdfunding is becoming a new viable option for young upstart businesses and developers, but some come to the Kickstarter table unprepared. Not the boys at Pixelscopic, though! They wanted to make sure every last lower-case&...

Demon's Score

09-12-2012

This new opening movie trailer and demonstration for upcoming Square Enix title Demon's Score is crazy. There's haunted castles, talking teddy bears, machine guns, demons and knitted caps. That's everything I've ever wanted ...

Desert Zombie: Last Stand

07-28-2011

Desert Zombie: Last Stand is a third-person shooter powered by Epic's Unreal Development Kit. As you can tell from the footage above, it features lots of undead bastards and plenty of guns to kill them with. Looks like a laugh, provided they make the controls decent.  The game's in it's alpha stage, and it looks pretty good so far. Knock it out at the right price, and I'm all about it.

Desktop Dungeons

04-20-2015

Reminder that Desktop Dungeons exists is not what I needed right now. Last time I played I got really into it, to the point where I needed to quit cold turkey in order to enjoy other aspects of life, like eating solid food o...

DoDonPachi Blissful Death

02-17-2012

Touch controls will never be able to replace the accuracy and fluidity that can be achieved with a joystick, but of course, any CAVE fan knows this by now. The actual concern when approaching an iOS CAVE game is if the contro...

DoDonPachi Maximum

10-22-2012

Cave is arguably the best thing to happen to mobile gaming. There. Said it. I seriously suck at bullet hell-type games, but I still have to get everything that Cave sends your way for iOS devices. They're that good. The next ...

Does Not Commute

04-23-2015

Okay, this is neat. It's strange, because I sort of hated the levels in The Adventures of Shuggy where I had to play through, then rewind time and go through again without touching my past selves. Does Not Commute looks like...

Doki-Doki Universe

05-18-2013

A rocket flies towards a tiny meteor, and a robot and sentient balloon are delivered to its surface. The rocket flies off. A young girl is crying uncontrollably. Several decades later, a friendly alien flies by and notifies the robot that it needs to prove its humanity or its entire race will be scrapped. This is Doki-Doki Universe.

Dokuro

Don Paccin

Donut County

08-12-2014

I don't entirely understand Donut County, but I want it. You are the hole that goes from stealing donuts to stealing mountains. It reminds me a bit of Tales from Space: Mutant Blob Attacks, which was good. You, the hole, get bigger every time you swallow something. I am down with this game. It's coming to "home computers & touch devices."

Double Dragon

03-11-2011

The original Double Dragon, the game that started it all, is now available on the Wii U and 3DS eShop. I don't know if it still holds up. I can tell you the movie starring Iron Chef America's Chairman does not. I can bet the cartoon doesn't, either. But, in the words of my uncle: that music is still balling. I've looped the trailer a few times already just listening to it.
