Star Command is totally worth the $3, but the game is hella broken. Ironically, the more of a fiery death inferno your ship becomes the easier the game gets. If you haven't finished the game I recommend not watching this video, though it contains no spoilers other than exposing how the rules of the game work against themselves. The biggest flaw, as Chris pointed out in his review, is that your ship is invincible. Every room can explode but the ship will still remain operational as long as your key characters are living. This creates an incredibly cheap strategy: To ensure their safety all you simply need to do is add science personnel, an engineer, and a few soldiers in your weapons rooms. Even if these rooms are sieged by enemies or gunfire your crew will heal and rebuild the room instantly while the rest of the ship rots, allowing you to focus on firing back without managing any other cares.
