Updated 10-19-2011It's disappointing that games Medal of Honor and Six Days in Fallujah get punished for authenticity, yet things like Heavy Fire: Afghanistan are allowed to exist. We may never see that tasteful, yet horrifying depiction of Operation Iraqi Freedom we were hoping for, but an insensitive rail-shooter set in modern-day Afghanistan is just as good -- right?
So, if you've just been itching to violently mow down countless Middle Easterners without prejudice, then look no further. Heavy Fire: Afghanistan is due out in November for PlayStation 3, Wii, and PC for the low, low price of $20. Given the sensitive subject matter, it'll be a wonder if this isn't all over Fox News in a couple weeks as another example of how videogames are degrading the moral fabric of our society.
