If financial domination was EA's goal then FIFA just scored big time. EA has released financial figures for fiscal 2012 that indicate it was a banner year for FIFA, pulling a record $108 million between microtransactions and digital downloads. Likely this was fueled by FIFA 12's amazing first week sales, totaling 3.2 million. 

In general EA did well this year, attributing their record revenue numbers to the almost 50% in digital growth during fiscal 2012. The report indicates EA only expects the growth to continue in 2013.
