Ah, roommates. You have to live with them, so playing competitive videogames with them isn't always the best idea ...especially if one of them owns a katana.
Monsters & Critics tells us about a 31-year-old Fresno, California gamer who was booked on charges of assualt with a deadly weapon. The attacker in this argument, Jim Sanchez, was playing a game with 22-year-old roommate Christopher Torrez. After butting heads in an unnamed game, Torrez attempted to leave the house, but was blocked by a blade-toting Sanchez. Poor Torrez recieved wounds to his left leg and and fingers on his right hand.
The sword used in the attack has been confiscated by Fresno police as evidence.
I wonder what they were playing. Please tell me it's not Wii Sports Golf.

If only this violent kid had owned a Wii then his aggressive impulses could have been safely channeled into a virtual universe where he used the wiimote to wield a virtual katana.
This whole senseless tragedy, and others like it, could have been avoided if only Nintendo had pumped out more Wiis and developers had finally come up with the perfect sword fighting implementation for the wiimote. Won't somebody please think of the children?!!

I've heard so many stories this year about complete twats who think they're all cool by owning a katana, and then subsequently get into trouble because they actually started to believe that said katana makes them a badass.
