Prison rape in games? Judge Mathis has you covered photo

Television pundits and politicians may claim that videogames allow you to virtually rape women, but really, only a certain few games do that, and they remain in Japan. Come revel in the irony, then, of TV Judge Greg Mathis and his new Street Judge game, which will feature all sorts of sexy prison rape.

"The main difference between our game and Grand Theft Auto is that players will have to deal with the justice system and consequences for their actions," explains Mathis. "When you go to prison, you gain credibility when you come back on the streets. On the other hand, when you go to prison you can also be raped. So take your chances. We may see young people who make the wrong choice and go to prison and are assaulted repeatedly (in this game)."

The game will be a third-person open world shooter, much like GTA, expect with just as much punishment as reward. An interesting a noble goal. That said, I bet if Rockstar were to make the exact same game, FOX News and the rest of the moral warriors would be screaming from the rooftops about virtual orgasmic rape. Mathis here will get nothing but applause.

Ahhh, American History X -- such an underrated film. Harsh and brutal. Great filmmaking.

This reminds me of the path. They wanna teach this great moral about what happens when you break the rules but then put you in an environment where you do nothing but break the rules. I guess the lesson from this game is "Do all the crime you want, but don't get caught or you'll get raped".

So basically Judge Mathis is ripping off GTA. The only difference in the game is that when the player get's captured he get's sent off to jail instead of losing money. And then you gotta wait a while before being able to leave jail. During said time, you might get raped.

But what's this? You get street cred for being in jail? Does real life work that way? Do people actually get street cred for going to jail?! If that's the case, I'm surprised more people aren't more eager to go to jail to increase their street cred skillz. I bet Tookie Williams, before he kicked the bucket, had insanely high street cred and probably maxed it out.

Prison Rape is one of those Great Myths... Yes it happens but not as often as movies and Judge Mathis would make you think

I can't tell whether this will be interesting or facepalmable. I guess we will have to wait and see.
P.S. Bonus protection for finding extra bars of soap.

Nah, i'll just quit the current game and reload the previous saved file before going to prison.

Seems like Judge Mathis is working on the assumption that gamers can't differentiate real-life from video games. Even if that is the case, I seriously doubt that the kids will learn the consequences of their actions (in the game). Experiencing prison in a video game is nothing like experiencing it in real life. Can you really imagine gamers feeling regretful or any form of empathy when their playable character goes to prison and getting raped? Will this game make us see the vision of Christ on the way to Damascus? The cynic in me says no.

It'd be more useful if an effect of going to jail was to delete your file save. I don't know how that would be justified in the game world, but it'd be an actual consequence to people who wouldn't be affected by virtual butt rape (i.e. everybody but homophobes).

I don't know if this is serious or what but, if true it would definitely be AO. I could see some really DUMB people from the populous fall for this. However, if they were that dumb they would become extra violent to prevent the butt raping.

@michiyoyoshiku: Actually it's true rape is "rare", because a lot of people voluntarily turn gay. They expect when they come out they are instantly not gay any more. Don't ask how I know this. Also if you don't submit they just beat you repeatedly. Until you volunteer.

i think the man on man rape will not even be brought up in news as a bad point but girl on girl or man on girl rape would be under attack by all news outlets.

rape is about the most fuct up thing that they could put into a game but rape don't happen in jail, it happens in prison. i know because i've spend more than 6 months in jail. people also don't join gangs in jail because you don't have to to survive it unscathed, you just have to keep your mouth shut and don't wheel and deal trading your food.

i believe the judge knows what will cause controversy and this is just that so his game can break free from his image but i don't think the game will be released with any kind of rape or his reputation as a justice giving judge will be tainted for tying his name to something that he advertised rape to be in. it just don't make sense in the end for him after PR gets a word with him.

no ones also goes to prison right after they commit a crime, you go to jail.

and in certain circles, going to prison does increase your credibility because people know you ain't a cop or did your time without dropping a dime on your people.

Judge Greg Mathis is far and away the best television judge. For that reason, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Plus, if he's making a video game, at least we know he's not going to just completely scapegoat them.

So can I play as a female criminal? Would I get sent to a female prison, where I'd get raped with plastic dildoes and be forced to munch on carpets?

Can you play as a female character? Send her to prison and watch her get gang raped by 6 black guys built like he-man?

It's like porn, but a game. FTW.

I really hope this turns out to be an awesome game that everyone is going to want to play. How funny would it be if this is the next big franchise?
