I guess I can continue holding out on WiiWare Cave Story for the time being. How big was that version, anyway? Would be great if they can fit that same quality on the minis program.
Saw this on Tumblr yesterday and thought it was just really good fanart, guess I was wrong. I'm pretty damn curious of what it means though.
I actually just downloaded (three days ago) and started playing Cave Story (on my DSiXL) for the very first time. So far it's been really great and I can see why so many people love this game.

Love it! Way too many people complained about Prinny's difficulty, but I found the Hero Prinny to actually be more formidable than most platformer heroes once you get his skills down. Prinny 1 and 2 really weren't that hard. Cave Story was also obviously incredible.
If this is a Cave Story project going to the NGP or basically anything non-Nintendo, you'll be able to find me in a corner crying.

Haha, it does look awesome. It wouldn't make that much sense to me, though, for NIS and Nicalis to get together to publish Cave Story on other systems when Nicalis didn't have any problem getting it onto Nintendo's downloadable systems. So, very bizarre crossover?
This is very exiting as I'm a big fan of Cave Story and the Prinny psp games. The crossover possibilities are getting me giddy.
Might be cool, but I can't shake the feeling that it's just going to be a prinny character skin for cave story.
Never cared about Disgaea, but fuck yes to Cave Story.

It would be awesome if Pixel teamed up with NIS to create a sequel to Cave Story with a bigger budget, not for better graphics, but for a game twice as big.
Hey Holmes, don't forget a couple of weeks ago Nicalis on his Twitter asks if ppl wanted the Wii Cave Story version on Steam, and Steam and valve are well known for all this crossover thingies...
