So, Prince of Persia seems to be getting heaps of praise for its gameplay. Our very own Nick Chester appeared to be suitably impressed. Here's the third in Ubisoft's series of videos featuring gaming journos and developers playing talking head while discussing the title. Gameplay is the central focus this time around.

I swore to myself that I was not going to buy any more games this year. I was done. But, like Michael Corleone says, "every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in." Between Nick's review and all the gameplay footage I've been seeing, this has been elevated to a must-buy in my book. I guess I'll be heading out to the shops tomorrow, my wallet a little further weakened by my insatiable lust for games.

I was going to try and torrent this, but I don't think I will now. I'm getting to damn sick and tired of games getting easier and easier as time goes on. Plus, they should have made this prince act like the one from SoT. I really don't like how he turned out here.

I'm such a failure.

gamadaya: I'm sure Ubisoft will be very interested in the opinions of someone who was merely interested in pirating their game.

I want to play this game, yet for some reason i can't think of, im not REALLY into it. A rent most likely, but maybe its the look, or maybe I like my angst ridden Prince from other games.

how does this work with the puzzles? if you miscalculate and try to jump a gap you can only make by wall running does she just throw you across and it doesn't matter that you didn't think through the best way to achieve your goal? and i guess all the bladed traps that killed you in the other 3 are gone too? or is it that she heals you up instead of you dying?

idk i'm a cynic. PoP was one of my top 10 favorite series of the last gen and i really want to like it, but it just seems so watered down from the visceral combat of warrior within and i don't see how the puzzles can be as tough as the other 2 if you get a mulligan with every attempt.

Be nice if I could figure out how to fucking remove that stupid fucking "TRANSLATE, TRANSLATE holmes" popup.

@Conrad: I would be if I were them. Think about it. If thiefs aren't even willing to spend the time stealing your, you may be doing something wrong. Especially if those thiefs have been PoP fans since the original game came out. That said, they seem to be doing more things right than with Warrior Within and Two Thrones.

Agh, I told myself I wouldnt buy anymore games until I had an HDTV and finished finals. Now I'll have to pick an exam to do not so well on.

Druid 01: It's just like in the previous games. When you missed a jump you just rewinded and retried, well it's exactly the same except instead of rewinding time you get saved by Elika and get to retry.

@gamadaya: My point is that I wouldn't give a damn about the opinions of someone who stole product from me. Not buying it out of protest is one thing, because that can have an affect. But to say you won't pirate it is just demonstrating that you like to steal games, nothing more, and invalidates your opinion.

After all, isn't one of the primary arguments in favor of piracy that the company isn't losing sales because they never would have earned them in the first place? If that's the case, they obviously are not catering to you, nor should they because you're just as likely to steal it if they give you what you want.

With the way the industry seems to be going, I don't think there will ever be another dry season.
