I remember really enjoying the ability to switch between characters to solve puzzles. I wonder if the mechanics have held up. I honestly can't remember much else about it. Definitely an under appreciated game, though.
The graphics were good for the time though, and the writing was pretty good too.
Once again I underestimated them.
I've played the fucking putrid shit out of Primal back in a day and finished it, like, three times in a row.
Can't wait to spend my money on it again. I also remember loving the soundtrack, it got me into alternative rock music, actually. I loved the last drop of track called "And I Go" by 16Volt from their album with a ridiculus title "SuperCoolNothing V2.0". I've spent a lot of time searching for music with similar heavy atmospheric riffs, but only years later I stumbled on to bands like Neurosis, Isis and Pelican that provided me with similar experience.
Is there a chance you'll review Primal? That would be awesome.
And lucky me still have the original and the console2play it on ....YAY!! ;)
So Primal can hit the PSN, but the EU psn still doesn't have Spyro the Dragon? How about Shadow Hearts, one of the best RPGs on the ps2? Whst a load of pap.
I remember loving this game way back when... had a kick ass Sound track too
I grew to like 16 Volt because of it, though. So there's that.
Lots of advertising for it at the time, and it was pretty misleading. I think that pretty much killed it.
I remember this game had awesome streaming technology, there was never a load screen for running around most of the world.
