The world can never have enough games with dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are awesome, and this upcoming title from the newly formed Lukewarm Media has plenty of them.
Primal Carnage will be a multiplayer shooter where humans and dinosaurs fight each other. Humans will be running around in first-person, and trying to avoid being attacked by groups of raptors, or finding themselves alone with a T-Rex. Players on the dinosaur team have a third-person view and are able to hide in bushes and stalk the humans in hopes of a tasty snack.
I got a chance to play an early build of this at PAX East this year, and what I played was a lot of fun. It's terrifying to be a human and find yourself cornered by a gang of raptors, and nothing is more fun than playing as a T-Rex who can chew on people.
Primal Carnage does not have a release date set yet, but they are planning on having a beta soon. You can check out their forums for more information.
I miss the days of MODS stuff like this might do terribly because of the price whatever the price maybe it will be a pricetag. Its hard for these nobody games to build a healthy long lived community when they're coming out of left field, alot of crappy mods had tons of people playing them mostly because they were free not that they were good, so the communities thrived and everyone was kinda happy. Devs used to put TONS of work into some of those really bad mods and now for some reason they want money for doing the same thing.
What I'm saying is its a real downer that this is trying to be standalone instead of maybe being a source mod or something else it might have a chance then, at this point it'll probably have a "oh wow BUY IT NOW" in the first week or so but that'll tapper off into nobody playing it a month or two.
@Darkcloud PC only as far as I know. It's being built with the UDK, so it does have the potential to come to consoles, but I would imagine that they will do a PC launch first, since it's just a small dev team.
@Darkcloud The Primal Carnage team has stated that if the PC version sells reasonably well, they would try to port to consoloes. And like Joshua said, it's a VERY small dev team.
Good or not, this is fucking awesome. I love seeing a developer do something off the way, yet everyone (that I know of at least) loves dinosaurs! If this game turns out awesome Ill jizz my pants.
it looks fun sorta looks liek dino dday which was fun. hope they balance some things out. but over all im pretty impressed ;D ill keep my eye on this and sign up for the beta when its out :D

Plus raptors are the original zombie
