Prey 2 dev wants to 'enhance' game for PC users photo

While RAGE is causing some upset with its allegedly broken PC version, another Bethesda property is promising a little more dedication for computer games. Human Head Studios co-founder Chris Rhinehart has said his team is looking to "enhance" Prey 2 for PC wherever possible.

"No announcements yet as to what that may or may not be, but we are looking into different ways that we can enhance the PC side," he said.

He also stated that the game is on track for a simultaneous release across PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Fingers crossed, we won't have the increasingly typical delays that we've seen on other PC games recently.

Prey 2 was one of my biggest surprises of the year, and I'm really excited by what Human Head's doing with the property. It's due out next year, and I'm expecting great things.

Looking to "enhance" Prey 2 for PC wherever possible - yeah, we've heard this before. And "wherever possible" means "console port". I don't buy it anoymore.

It's true that we usually get paid lip service, but then the final product doesn't deliver.

But I remain hopeful. Prey 2 does look pretty interesting.

I'll believe it when I see it. There's so much "talk" going on these days...

Keep in mind broken PC Rage is only with ATI users, which is like 2 people.

Nope. Go check the Steam forums bud. Tons of people using both Nvidia and AMD cards have chimed in and are experiencing a lot of the same issues.

Enhance! Enhance! Zoom!

Anyways, i honestly don't want any enhancements. I want a fully playable game that plays naturally on PC. I can't call it "enhancement", i consider it to be a norm -_-

Why? They're not gonna sell substantially more copies, just stroke the out-of-touch PC gamer's ego and make pirates' day a little bit better. It doesn't matter whether a game is a straight port or a dedicated PC game, it still sells 1/10th of what console versions sell in spite of gaming PCs having a larger install base than X360 & PS3 combined.

I've been gaming on the PC since it pushed my beloved Amiga into obsolescence but I shudder at the sense of entitlement I am witnessing in the PC gaming community these days. I mean... even expecting them to sit through a 15 second intro movie sends them into a fit of rage! They talk about ripping the intro movie as though they repelled a life threatening aggression!

These days who hope that pandering to the PC crowd will help sales are just delusional and out-of-touch.
