Anyway, cool, nothing bad in making another DK game.
That journalistic gripe aside, this looks pretty good.

Preview: Conquer the world with your Impire!
At the recent Paradox on Tour event, Paradox Interactive and Cyanide Studios unveiled their brand new dungeon crawling RTS game, Impire. Playing as the villain, you’re tasked with building an empire of imps (get it?) to restore your power and influence over the mortal realm.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)How does it compare to dungeon keeper? Maybe that means im old but thats instantly what i think about and a referance point would be nice i cant be alone in wondering why people keep making crappy game DK-style games (im looking at you dungeons) and why dungeon keeper 3 or dungeon keeper 3 in all but name isnt made? I was going to comment - dungeon keeper 3? But 3 other people beat me to that already!
Anyway, cool, nothing bad in making another DK game. See, now this is something you could have said is inspired by Dungeon Keeper, and not that Dwarf Fortress game that you continue to refuse to acknowledge is Dwarf Fortress.
That journalistic gripe aside, this looks pretty good. This reminds me of Dungeon Keeper and Dwarf Fortress. Also the protagonist name is a little on the nose. I'm going to temper my excitement for now. I love DK as much as the next man (unless the man posting under me is JimmyX bitching about it not being multiplat) but after the massive, crushing, awful failure that was Dungeons, I'm very wary about dev's cashing in on DK nostalgia. 7:00 PM on 05.17.2013 Viking shenanigans in Crusader Kings II: The Old GodsOver the last year and -- almost -- a half, Crusader Kings II has grown considerably. 5:00 PM on 05.10.2013 Review: Victoria II: Heart of DarknessTo call Victoria II dense would be a gross understatement. It's a pound cake, with each ingredient -- the tangled politics, vast wars, and simulated economies -- adding greater depth and increasingly complex, interweaving sys...
6:00 PM on 05.01.2013 Preview: Knights of Pen & Paper +1I've been fiddling around with the mobile meta-RPG Knights of Pen & Paper for a wee while now. In fact, it's one of the few games I actually play on my phone, normally preferring dedicated handheld gaming devices rat...
1:45 PM on 05.01.2013 Leviathan: Warships release trailer keeps it smoothI'll admit, I had expected that the novelty would have worn off from the last smooth jazz trailer for the naval warfare strategy game Leviathan: Warships. Still, I started watching the above video and halfway through was chu...

2:00 PM on 04.18.2013 Review: Cities in Motion 2I don't have a driving license, and, strictly speaking, can't drive. I had lessons over a decade ago, but I never really saw the point. The narrow roads and strict speed limits in the UK prohibit one from truly enjoying the a...
2:00 AM on 04.18.2013 You're gonna ship yourself over Leviathan: WarshipsOkay Paradox, nice job with this trailer. It did its job, as made me pay attention and even write about Leviathan: Warships on Dtoid. Not that we haven't written about it before. In fact our own Fraser Brown went hands-on wi...
6:00 PM on 04.05.2013 Getting the lowdown on Victoria II: Heart of DarknessNext to Hearts of Iron, the Victoria series is the Paradox Interactive grand strategy title I have the least experience with. There are a couple of things that have contributed to this, but the most influential one is my decl...

| 2:00 PM on 02.27.2013 Review: Impire |

There is a vast, tumultuous ocean between good ideas and their actual application, and lost in the middle of that ocean is Impire. In fact, it may very well be stuck inside the belly of a whale. I had high hopes for the dunge...more

| 4:30 PM on 01.25.2013 This new trailer for Impire is pretty metal |

No seriously, the trailer has metal in it. Just watch it -- you'll see. Musical arrangements aside, Impire is a new game that looks to unite some of the basic concepts of Dungeon Keeper and Overlord, as you evolve your demon...more
