Presenting the Dead Space backpack photo

Combining Dead Space with backpacks is one of those "crazy enough to work" ideas -- who knew?

For those who haven't played the game, Visceral basically took protagonist Isaac Clarke's suit, complete with the vertebrae-esque health bar, and slapped it on a backpack. I'm telling you this because I desperately needed filler content. See, it's working!

You'll be able to buy this merchandise from the studio's store at some point, although details like pricing and when exactly it'll go on sale haven't been determined yet. Specifics will be made clear in the coming weeks, apparently.

It makes me sick, but I'd totally spend money on that.

Finally, a perfect way to get your ass kicked by bullies and look good in the process!

...eh? I love the design work for Dead Space, but that just looks weird to me.

The deadspace back pack. Or as I like to call it, a chastity belt

It's not that dorky guys. Unless someone knows what Dead Space is, they won't get it, and at that point it'll only be a sweet back pack.

Also, do want.

Hmm... I think I'd rather have it on a T shirt, to be honest. Still, neat.

My son is about to start kindergarten, so this news could not be better timed lol. Of course, I will find a reason to get two but one of these babies is going to bless my son

Personally think it's ugly. Funny that I actually need a replacement for the torn, overused wad of fabric that was once my backpack.

@WarZombie: No, someone not knowing it's from Dead Space is EXACTLY the problem. They won't appreciate the cool, they'll just see it as a dorky SciFi-Geek-backpack and beat you up to steal your lunch-money even if you are in your mid-20's.

Actually, I like the L4D health pack more. But this is pretty cool, albeit overpriced I'm sure.

for everyone commenting about a shirt being better there actually are deadspace shirts with healbars they have blood all over them and a usg ishimura logo on them the health bar on the back is down to two red bars and it's awesome they were given to the development team members of deadspace at EA :) I have one of those shirts
