Quantcast

I once had a nightmare, and in my dark and twisted dream, I was being grilled by redneck comedian Jeff Foxworthy. A number of elementary school children intently watched on, including one Little Sister who brandished a glowing hypodermic needle.

"What's the capital of Nicaragua, motherf***er?" Foxworthy snapped at me. "How many quarts of blood are in the bodies seven elephants!?"

I usually wake up screaming, and thanks to THQ, I can now live my nightmare. Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? (based on the popular game show, hosted by Jeff Foxworthy) is available today for the PC. A Nintendo DS version will be available this Fall, with PlayStation 2 and Wii versions coming in 2008.

If you're wondering, the capital of Nicaragua is Managua. And there are many, many quarts of blood in the bodies of seven elephants.

I'll add this to my list of Games That Were that Never Saw the Light of Day on a console.

Along with Desperate Housewives for the PS2 and the New Kids on the Block game for the NES.

hahaha this is probably the worst gameshow in existence. I'm on my high school trivia team (super nerdy, I know) and I actually learned the capital of every country in the world and all 50 states. I've seen the show a few times and apart from the imperial measurements (I'm Canadian) I would be a millionaire a few times over by now. Nobody in their right mind should want to play a game that easy.

Still, I wonder if "hard" mode lets you answer really hard questions, like from the 6th grade.

Ever seen idiocracy? Not the best movie, but a great look at how we (human race) are turning into morons.

Check it out.

Does she realize they're asking her how many feet and we're dealing with two human beings here. One standing on another. How can she think something like 300 feet? Is she retarded? Slap her!

If you buy this game, the answer is no, you are not smarter than a fifth grader. Hell, the fact that Jeff Foxworthy outsells George Carlin proves that America in general isn't smarter than a fifth grader.

that youtube clip was hilarious , the look on the kids faces as they are saying "wtf" with their mind bullets

the game: might actually sell well (for an educational game) i'd recommend using as a teaching aide rather than edu-tainment.

Achievements on the 360 for this would be ridiculous.

Somebody is going to have to build a polygon model of Jeff Foxworthy and skin it.

Think about that. Four years in college perfecting your hand at 3D software to apply bump-mapping to Jeff Foxworthy's mustauche.

Cocktail for depression, much?
