Pre-purchase Painkiller: Resurrection, get free games photo

Painkiller: Resurrection? How embarrassing -- I forgot that game even existed. This may or may not have anything to do with the action-oriented first-person shooter getting about zero marketing. Just sayin', guys.

The game does apparently exist and it's almost ready for release, darn it. Did any of you know Painkiller: Resurrection is launching in a little more than two weeks? Until earlier tonight, it was news to me. Anyway, that's not important.

What is important, however, is that it can be pre-purchased on Steam. Doing so will not only save you money, but it'll also net you Painkiller: Black Edition (yes!) and Painkiller Overdose (/shrugs) for no extra cost.

Steam, you may be totally evil and out to kill my family, but damn you know how to sell me things I didn't even know I wanted.

The stake gun was the best gun in the game. That and that blade saw thing.

I did like the first Painkiller a lot and don't have that copy anymore. But... so much else coming out... bad timing much?

It looks like the game is $20 on Amazon.com so if anyone already has the other two, you may want to check that out instead.

It doesn't look like the same studio's doing it. The original Paikiller was created by People Can Fly for Dreamcatcher. Since then PCF were acquired by Epic Games and Dreamcatcher, who held the rights for IP, were bought by JoWood. The development of the game went to some studio I'm not familiar with.

I wouldn't hold your breath for it. HOWEVER, if someone doesn't have the original Painkiller, it's worth it if only for the Black Edition.

not many people care about a PC only shooter.

Of course, Painkiller Black is $9.99 on GoG. I hate DRM so GoG >>>>>>>>> Steam

I will get this if it doesn't have the fucking horrible eternal load times the originals have.

No one is caring because people have realized it isn't a true "Painkiller 2". It's just another milking of this once amazing franchise. Also, the original team that did Painkiller has since been scattered to the four winds. The artists are at Farm51 who did the visually impressive but technically awful Necrovision while the gaemplay designers are at either Epic or some other dev house.

Getting the original team back together would be akin to getting the beatles to play a comeback tour.......read; it ain't gonna happen :(
