Pre-order Split Second, get a vehicle of some sort photo

Exciting, huh?

Black Rock's Split Second provides so many thrills that the studio decided to turn the insanity down a notch for the game's obligatory GameStop-exclusive pre-order bonus.

As you can clearly see, a reservation will net you the above in-game car, and a die-cast model of said car. Or not, as the "not final car" warning tells us. Like I said, they used all of the truly crazy ideas for Split Second already.

I think the real takeaway here is the reminder that this game isn't being released anytime soon. I nominate this post for most depressing story of the week.

Must have needed momentary hype.

Q2-2010 couldn't come any faster.

I thought it was a sweepstakes for a real version of that car. Dammit.

Good news, that bonus lame, so I won't have any desire to acquire it and thus support PawnStop.

I think a die-cast version of the in-game car is pretty cool for any avid gamer.

Do want the game. Don't care about the car. Therefore I can tell gameshit to stuff it.

I am extremely excited for this game. Now, do I want this bonus? Maybe...but I can definitely live without it. This may be the game that takes Burnout Paradise's place in my time for racing games, because it's been too long for me since I've played an arcade and power-up racer. Plus, the trailer was amazing
