Pre-order Muramasa and get this possibly neat thing photo

What's better than getting to spend hours feasting your eyes on a gorgeous game like Vanillaware's upcoming Muramasa: The Demon Blade? Getting to enjoy that beautiful artwork even further by owning whatever this thing is supposed to be. Those who pre-order Ignition's lovely new Wii title at GameStop will receive this as a bonus; an item their website thusly describes:

This lovely piece of art will surely be one of the finest videogame inspired wall scrolls in your wall scroll collection.

I'm not sure about you, but 20 years of otakuism has afforded me the ability to know a wall scroll when I see it, and the topical expertise to say that this ain't one. Still, the drool-worthy artwork is enough to ensure that whatever that thing is, there's little doubt that it would be the finest one in my vast collection of ... whatever that thing is.

A scroll? Aren't scrolls supposed to be rolled up? That looks nice, but I don't think I have the space to put it on my table. Maybe I'll just tape it on my wall or something if i pre-order it.

Eh, I was going to buy it anyway. Might as well pre-order it and get something I'll probably store away forever.

Yeah, I dunno what part of folding panels would make someone think "scroll." Scrolls usually... you know, scroll.

Apparently, if you have a poster, and there's animu on it, it's a wall scroll.

I hope as an authentic wall scroll it actually has a little hangy bit to actually attatch it to the said wall. People hate having to punch holes themselves into stuff like this. Especially when there isn't even a circular dotted area to designate where to punch!

Is there no term to describe "a piece of cardboard that zig-zags back and forth and is usually placed on a table"? Because I think that would describe this thing pretty well. Looks pretty, but I'd rather have a wall scroll.

I don't really care what it is. As long as it involves Muramasa's beautiful art style, then that's all I need to hear.

Muramasa is the next game I plan on getting anyway.

Damn Gamestop and your tempting pre-order bonuses, first the Conduit now this.

Hopefully Amazon will counter with something equally bitchin' so I don't have to go see the awful employees at my local Gamestop again.

Can someone confirm this is gamestop only? I'd prefer to support amazon for new games.

Wow, nice. It's good to see XSEED stepping up as far as fan-servicey game bonuses. Atlus could really use some competition.

CORRECTION: XSEED dropped this game like a bitch and Ignition Entertainment is now publishing this game and is offering this lovely pre-order bonus. I just want proper credit for the people responsible at Ignition which includes the "Man-god" Shane Bettenhausen.

Your wish is granted, Redzie. Working from old press releases ftw. Bold's a little uncalled for, but hey.

My favorite wall scroll I've ever owned (out of 4) is rei from eva printed on thin strips of bamboo. This thing is like a mini room divider for your desk.

Was going to get this game anyway so getting this for the same price is a nice bonus, although I have no where to put it.
