Pre-order Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on PS3, get Peace Walker HD free

3:30 PM on 03.06.2014

PlayStation Store offers preceding title

The Metal Gear Solid Facebook page has been updated with a post listing a special pre-order offer for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes available at PlayStation Store. If you purchase Ground Zeroes for PlayStation 3 on PSN anytime before the release of the game on March 18, you will receive a free download of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD.

As of right now, there is no listing for Ground Zeroes on the PlayStation Store, a situation which will likely be remedied soon, but currently renders the listed offer unavailable.

I guess that's not a bad way to get up to speed on the plot if you've not yet played Peace Walker. This offer seems to only be available on the PS3, which would make perfect sense as there's no version of Peace Walker HD available to release on PlayStation 4.

I thought Metal Gear Online was neat on PS3 outside of Konami's separate log-in system. At the Game Awards, Hideo Kojima introduced a trailer for the online aspect of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Metal Gear Onl...

I really enjoyed Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for what it was, and despite many people calling it a "short" game, I've clocked around 30 hours so far -- far more than the vast majority of regular releases. Part of ...
I adore watching VFX studio reels, so when I heard that Konami had released one for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, I just couldn't help myself. I had to click. And here we are. At three minutes in length, the video is wo...
Both Sony and Microsoft have their own platform-exclusive missions for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and you'll have to do a bit of legwork to unlock them. Basically, you'll need to grab all nine XOF patches hidden thro...
As you may have heard, both Sony (PS3, PS4) and Microsoft (Xbox 360, Xbox One) have their own piece of exclusive content for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. This isn't a pre-order bonus mind you -- it's built into every copy of the game. Naturally this can lead to a choice between the two, so let's take a look at what you're getting.
As you may have gleaned from my review, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is not for everyone. It only features one area, very little story, and it's only a glimpse of what's to come in Phantom Pain. But that doesn't mean it isn't a ton of fun to play, and there's plenty to do outside of the relatively short story mission.
