Pre-order L4D2, wear Bill's hat in Team Fortress 2 photo

Pre-order Left 4 Dead 2 for PC on Steam or through participating retailers and you'll be able to wear Bill's hat from Left 4 Dead in Team Fortress 2. The hat is available right now for all to wear, so long as you've pre-ordered the game.

According to the Team Fortress 2 blog, the hat came into the Team Fortress 2 universe via a science experiment:

And lest you think this is just some marketing gimmick, here's the intricate back-story justifying it: while conducting a science experiment on parallel dimensions, Bill's hat fell off a table into the Team Fortress universe.

Okay, so that's not true, but it's still neat. Also, you'll save 10% on Left 4 Dead 2 by pre-ordering the game so there's that too.

[Thanks, Liam!]

You must not spend much time on a PC. TF2 is easily the best multiplayer FPS this generation.

I pity these console gamers that can't fully enjoy the best multiplayer FPS of this generation.

I own TF2 and really want to love it but it just isn't that fun for me. I haven't found many great servers with people who actually play as a team.
Can anyone recommend a server?

That is cool. I wonder if they'll ever update TF2 on the 360 and if they do, whether they'll let people with L4D2 game saves have this hat.

Why do they keep offering Pre-Order goodies but not include them in the game dang it...I don't want to have to buy the Australian version even if it can probably be un-censored.

Conclusive proof that the original 4 survivors are dead - Bill wouldn't let his hat go for nothing!

I officially know what version Im getting. Now that I think about it, I wouldve bought L4D2 when it went on a 50% off sale anyway.

What an awesome little hat. The Soldier looks like a sexy beast. I wonder how the Spy would look...

This is tempting, but I'll still probably wait until the inevitable Steam sale.

@Particle - the brbuninstalling forums are always good.

And...this finally got me to preorder L4D2. The demo vidyas looked good, but this clinched it.

TF2 = Game of the decade.

And you can never have too many utterly pointless hats.

I was teetering on the edge about preordering. The demo, lower price, and baseball bat were all very tempting. This offer just pushed me over the edge. Bills hat had to be mine.
