Pre-order Guitar Hero: Metallica and get a bonus foot pedal photo

Because "Master of Puppets" wouldn’t be the same without it, Activision and GameStop have teamed up for a bumping pre-order offer. Every reserve copy of Guitar Hero: Metallica is shipping with an extra Guitar Hero: Foot Pedal and splitter.

Novice players eager to jam like Ulrich will have to step up their game. The bonus pedal is only used in Expert Plus drum mode. Don't dispair, newbies. We hear that a combination of Red Bull and hard drugs is a sufficient substitute for drumming talent. Just watch out for the accompanying open sores and paranoia.

The bonus offer is available online and in store. The bonus pedal appears to be the same pedal that ships with the kit already, so uniformity has been loosely confirmed.

[Thanks, Ian!]

If you switch the letters around it becomes "Pastor of Muppets". Heh.

So can people that don't have two pedals play Expert Plus mode or no?

This is pretty awesome, almost as awesome as rigging my Yamaha DTXplorer up to the xbox360 and using my double bass pedal.

...I haven't actually done that but I do have a DTXplorer and have seen it done on youtube

From our very own guru Nick Chester: "The pedals are not interchangable between RB and GH. Nyko's Medal Pedal uses a switch, and is compatible with both drum sets. Expert Plus can be played with one pedal but, uh, good luck!"

man. I used to like them but now I really despise their pretentious and cocky attitude.

I guess its a good thing I don't play these games.

The only reason I would ever support GH again was if with a preorder you got to kick lars in the nuts.

Guitar Hero Dethklok would be the most metal video game ever possible to humanly produce.

*sigh* Now I have to reserve this. I the gamer in me hates the band(sue me) but the real life drummer in me really likes the idea of being able to use two foot peddles at the same time.

Argh, why do you tell me this stuff! It makes me want to preorder this just for the potential of me getting GH:WT someday and wanting a second pedal!

Yeah, I'm definitely preordering.
But I'm just a slave to the man.

And hell yes, Guitar Hero: Deathklok would be so bad ass.
