Planning on downloading Blur over Steam come this Tuesday, but figured you'd just wait for the day of to get the game? FUNK THAT! Get some free stuff while you're at it, dude. From now until the game's launch every person who pre-orders Blur over Steam will receive the crack-like Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved for no charge.
In case you didn't put two and two together, that pretty much gives you a day to get Retro Evolved for free. Just be forewarned, you may become so addicted to Retro Evolved that you forget you have Blur to play. I've seen it happen before and it ain't always pretty.
Get Geometry Wars Retro Evolved free with Blur pre-order on Steam [Big Download, via Joystiq]

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Surely it makes more sense to buy Blur for PC at retail, given that buying on Steam means you can't resell the game, and it doesn't even include Steamworks features.
Buying Blur via Steam vs. buying the game on console for $60, playing it to completion then selling it for $40+ kind of turns your cost argument on its head :)
