Microsoft announced today that by pre-ordering Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, you will get a free redeemable code for the original Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox LIVE Arcade weeks before the game is available to everyone else for purchase.

Remember "Stop N' Swap?" It's making a comeback: your accomplishments in the new game will nab you extra content in the XBLA game. Better yet, Nuts & Bolts has been confirmed to be priced at $39.99 when it drops later this year.

Also revealed today is the Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts in-game world, "Jiggoseum." As seen in the embedded video above, it's an Olympic-sized stadium with 17 different challenges for Banjo and Kazooie to beat.

Now that we know Nuts & Bolts will not only be cheap, but include an incredible incentive to pre-order, are you going to cave in? I know I am.

Holy shit that is fucking great news. The only thing that worries me is the 40 buck price point for Nuts & Bolts. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about low prices, but I'm just a little afraid that they're pricing it to match the quality of the game, and since we're getting this instead of Banjo-Threeie, I really want this to be a good game.

How much is the XBLA game going to be on its own? If it's more than 10 bucks, I'll probably preorder this game, get the code, and depending on my laziness drop the preorder or not.

We shall see.

I love the smell of win in the morning. I thought $39.99 for the game itself was attractive enough...

Depends on the price for the pre-order and game. If it's cheaper to pre-order and cancel, I'll do that.

Wait, to play the originol, wouldn't the Xbox need to emulate N64 software? If that's the case I'm surprised Nintendo allowing them to.

Wow. They just made up for the sales that they lost by making it strictly a platformer. Good marketing Rare.

The cynic in me believes that the $40 price point is a vote of no confidence in both 'Viva Pinata: TiP' and this.

The miser in me appreciates the low cost and expansion of genres beyond highly prominent, well-marketed FPS' and racers.

I thought games were $39.99 over there anyway? Does that mean we'll be getting this at £29.99. Because if it does, then I'll probably buy this game, even if I was disappointed it wasn't the Banjo-Threeie I wanted. I hope we get the pre-order deal too. That would be nice.

Yeah, I'm doing this. I was going to pre-order the game anyway, so this seals the deal. Any word when this will go into effect? Or can I go into GameStop today and get the code?

Eh. I'll wait 'till I see more footage of this new Banjo game. From what I've seen it just doesn't appeal to me. There's no sense in spending extra on stuff I don't want.

If i had an xbox, i'd definitely do this--though i'd be skeptical why there's all this incentive to get you to buy it... smells like trouble.

I rather get a free pair of huge ass Yellow Banjo shorts as a bouns than that game.

@ Scary Womanizing Pig Mask: The XBLA version of Banjo-Kazooie is rebuilt from the ground up, it's not simply an emulated version of the N64 game. Think the XBox version of Conker's Bad Fur Day.

I was most likely going to pick up Nuts & Bolts anyway, this just sweetens the deal.
